Rapido took the opportunity at the October NEC Show in Birmingham this week (17-22 October) to launch its brand new Peugeot Boxer-based 606F model, which we first saw at the European launch in France.
Our team were so impressed with the new model that it snatched the best motorhome under 7m category in our most recent awards.
Featuring a large washroom stretched right across the back of the 6.69m-long motorhome, the 606F is technically a 2+2 berth, but promises lots of luxury and space for couples who choose to tour alone.
An additional occasional double bed can be made up from the lounge sofas.
Up front in the motorhome is a large lounge featuring parallel sofas, and above these is located an electrically operated drop-down bed.
The latter measures between 1.3m and 1.5m in width.
The kitchen is situated in the middle of the vehicle and includes a large, 156-litre fridge.
A large garage features at the rear of the motorhome, and access from inside the vehicle is available. There’s a decent payload for owners to make use of too, at 520kg.
Prices of the standard Rapido 606F start at £74,800, but the model on display at the show featured a number of useful extras, including a Select Pack and 16-inch alloy wheels.
These additions took the total cost of the vehicle at the NEC to £77,230.
The Rapido 606F isn’t the only new model making its debut at the October NEC Show. Visitors to the Bailey stand got to see the new Endeavour and its EV counterpart, while the Chausson also unveiled the X650, an innovative ‘van with a rear garage that can be transformed into a dressing room. Coachman also launched its new Travel Master Imperial 845, a luxurious A-class model.
