Sarah Wakely

Sarah is editor in chief of Practical Motorhome magazine, and joined the team back in 2006 - since that time she’s toured thousands of miles across Europe in a vast range of vehicles, from the tiniest of campers through to nine-metre A-classes. As well as tours to her favourite destination (France), she’s toured to further flung destinations including Romania, Slovenia, the Faroe Islands and even Iceland, where she spent two weeks exploring in a diminutive Bilbo’s campervan during the height of summer. As well as the touring that motorhomes and campervans afford, she also loves the gadgets that come with the lifestyle - camping accessories shops are one of her favourite places to spend time, browsing the various bits and pieces to fill her own campervan, a 2017 Swift Select. When out touring she shares its confines with her husband and her beloved golden retriever, who both love getting out to explore as much as she does.
