Show goers looking for a spot of luxury were heading straight for the new Coachman Travel Master Imperial 845 at the October NEC Show.

The 845 model is the first Coachman A-class motorhome, following on from the launch of its coachbuilt Travel Master models in 2022.

The Imperial is a single-floorplan, four-berth, 8.22-metre model featuring an island bed, midships washroom and a front lounge. The kitchen is located between the lounge and the washroom. The luxury motorhome features four belted seats, too.

As you’d expect given the price tag – the model costs from £197,150 – the 845 has an extremely high specification, including leather upholstery, an electrically operated drop-down bed up front, Alde wet central heating, underfloor heating, air-conditioning and more.

Both the island bed and the drop-down bed feature luxurious mattresses.

In the kitchen you’ll find an oven, grill, microwave and 171-litre fridge. Up top, overhead lockers feature ventilation for improved air circulation.

Like its coachbuilt cousins, the Travel Master Imperial 845 is based on the Mercedes Benz chassis. It has an MTPLM of 5500kg, so you’ll need a C1 licence to drive it. However, that high MTPLM means an impressively high payload of 875kg – which should be more than enough for four people, even on a longer tour.

The Travel Master coachbuilt range remains as a two-model line-up, featuring the island-bed 545 and fixed-single-bed Travel Master 565.

There were other new launches too, including the four-model Auto-Trail Excel range and the Expedition 670 Flex.
