Auto-Trail has launched its four-strong Excel low-profile range at the October NEC Show, along with a new Expedition capable of sleeping four.
The four Ford Transit-based Excel models range in price from £61,634 to £65,582 OTR and in length from 6.2m to 6.9m. With a width of 2.27m, they are designed to be easier to navigate around narrow country lanes and city streets.
The Auto-Trail range includes the two-berth 675B with an end washroom, and three three-berths: the 620G, with a transverse bed, the 690T, a motorhome with fixed single beds, and the 690 L with a rear lounge. All models have four travel seats.
All come with a 140bhp engine as standard and have an MTPLM of 3500kg, so anyone can drive them.
The 675B, 620G and 690T all have large garages you could get a bicycle into, and even the 690L has a smaller externally accessible storage space.
Interiors are done out in Moyet oak, Serica Matt Grey and Serica Taupe furniture, and include matt black reading lights with USB ports.
The new van conversion is the Expedition 670 Flex. Based on a 5.99m-long Fiat Ducato, it includes a double drop-down double bed over the transverse bed.
Up front you get a half dinette with a side kitchen complete with a sizable extension that still leaves enough room for you to get through the door. The van costs £53,378 OTR.
Another new launch at the NEC Show was the Coachman Travel Master Imperial 845, a four-berth A-class.
