Practical Motorhome has run an awards scheme for many years now, and each and every year we’re impressed by the innovation and quality of our award winners.
Sometimes, however, there’s a range that really stands out over the rest, offering something that little bit special to impress our judges, all of whom are highly experienced in the motorhome industry.
For our most recent awards, announced last month, that range was Swift’s new Voyager 4 series, launched in August 2023 and instantly wowing our team.
The Swift Voyager 4 series is a three-model line-up, and incredibly, two of the trio grabbed one of our 2024 awards.
Swift Voyager 475 – Best Motorhome for Families
First up was this stunning five-berth, which took the trophy in the Best Motorhome for Families category.
Our judges were highly impressed by the rear-lounge layout of this model – they said it was “perfect for evening relaxation; the adults can also choose to eat here while the kids gather in the dinette up front.”
Such practicality was key to our experts’ decision. As well as the roomy lounge, they also loved the fantastic kitchen, which is large enough for the chef to knock up a meal for even the largest of families.
Our judges also praised the amount of storage space available, too. “There’s plenty of storage space for everyone’s stuff,” they commented, “whether they’re young or young-at-heart.”
Swift Voyager 494 – Best 4-Berth Motorhome
The second Voyager 4-series model that our judges loved was the 494.
It features a comfortable island bed, along with a great-sized washroom, and a dinette up front.
Our experts appreciated the clever use of space in the 494, and the fact that there’s a seatbelt to match every one of the four berths.
They also praised the inclusion of the overcab bed above the Luton area, commenting that it is “perfect for additional sleeping or even extra storage space”.
“With a price tag that’s great value for money, it’s clear Swift has another winner on its hands,” they said.
Swift Voyager 485
So that’s two brilliant award-winning floorplans – and the even better news is that there’s a third new Voyager 4 in the line-up, too.
The Swift Voyager 485 is a family-friendly model with comfortable fixed twin beds at the rear, a double dinette and five belted seats – one for every berth.
It’s perfect for larger groups on tour, no matter where and when they’re planning to travel.

What’s more, whichever Swift Voyager 4 series model you go for, you’re guaranteed a high level of specification as standard.
Features include external BBQ and cold-water shower points, an overcab bed, exclusive Duvalay Duvalite Alto mattresses on all fixed beds, garage storage space, concertina cab blinds and much more.
All 4-series models are based on the impressive Ford chassis, and all have an MTPLM of 3500kg – so they can be driven on a regular Category B licence.
And with prices starting at less than £70,000, families will have that little bit extra cash to put towards their next adventures.
