Adria

Address: Drury Drive, Sudbury, Suffolk CO10 1WH 01787 888980 www.adria.co.uk

  • 2 x Gold Award, 1 x Silver Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2025, including being named Best Manufacturer: New Motorhomes
  • 1 x Gold Award, 2 x Silver Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2024
  • 3 x Gold Awards at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2023, including being named the Best Manufacturer: New Motorhomes and Best Manufacturer Overall

One of Europe’s largest motorhome manufacturers and part of the Trigano Group, Adria produces everything from space-conscious campervans to top-of-the-range A-classes. The Slovenian make of motorhomes has been a regular at our Owner Satisfaction Awards in recent years, including being voted the Best Manufacturer: New Motorhomes in 2025 and both the Best Manufacturer: New Motorhomes and the Best Manufacturer Overall in 2023.

For the 2025 season, Adria launched the three-model VW Crafter-based Compact Max – this also represents the first time Adria has released a VW-based ‘van.

Adria also used the recent February NEC Show to launch its new 6m-long Supertwin SPB PT, the first of what could ultimately be a four-model range.

The new season saw the relaunch of Adria’s budget Sun Living brand too, which had been on a hiatus for the UK during the 2024 season. This included a Ford Transit-based Sun Living ‘van for the first time, as well as a new layout, in the form of the Sun Living V65 SL.

Adria is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, with the brand commemorating the landmark with a special Adria 60 Years Collection.

The Slovenian manufacturer is a regular contender at our yearly Practical Motorhome Awards as well, with its Compact Max range making the shortlist twice at our 2025 Awards. This followed the brand’s successes at the 2024 Awards, with five models shortlisted and its now discontinued Active Duo campervan being our pick of the small campervans.

The Adria Supersonic 780DC
The Adria Supersonic 780DC

There was a double success for Adria in 2023, with the Adria Supersonic 780DC and the Twin Supreme 600 SX winning a category apiece. Both made the shortlist a combined four times too.

The two category wins were repeated at the 2022 Awards too, with the Adria Matrix Supreme 670SL celebrating a double win. There were also eight shortlisted appearances for the brand.

Auto-Sleepers

  • 3 x Silver Award winner at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2025
  • 3 x Silver Award winner at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2024
  • 1 x Gold Award, 2 x Silver Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2023

Auto-Sleepers is a long-standing and well-regarded British brand that mainly focuses on campervans but also makes Peugeot- and Mercedes-based low profiles. It’s a sister company to Marquis Leisure, now also owned by Trigano.

Those who buy a 2025 Auto-Sleeper Fiat Ducato-based motorhome will get it with the new Truma CombiNeo heating system, which provides continuous hot water.

The brand has given its Mercedes range of ‘vans an update for the new season too, which includes new graphics, furniture and internal fabrics. The eco-friendly Cinderella incineration toilet is also an option.

In 2021, the motorhome brand celebrated its 60th anniversary and celebrated with the release of a special edition low-profile, the Auto-Sleeper Broadway EL, a ‘van that came with what was described as “the best central washrooms that we have seen in a long time” when reviewed.

This went on to win a category at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2022, as well as being shortlisted a further three times.

The M-Star
The M-Star

The brand released the Mercedes Sprinter-based M-Star for the 2024 season, a model that, to quote our reviewer Sarah Wakely, ‘simply exudes class’. As a result, it’s not surprising that our judges picked it out as the most luxurious camper van on the market at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2024.

Auto-Trail

Address: Trigano House, Genesis Way, Europarc, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire DN37 9TU 01472 571000 www.auto-trail.co.uk

Ultimately owned by Trigano, Auto-Trail is a popular British brand that produces van conversions, low profiles and overcabs under the Auto-Trail and Tribute names. Look out for the Auto-Trail umbrella included in many models! It currently offers six coachbuilt and four campervan ranges.

The motorhome maker launched the Auto-Trail Refresh scheme in 2023 – it aims to take an old ‘van from the manufacturer and restore it to its original glory.

Auto-Trail added a new model to the Ford-based Excel range for the 2025 season. Initially launched at the 2023 October NEC Show, the range is compact, only coming to 2.24m wide, with the new addition, the 620S, being the first two-berth Excel.

Auto-Trail also took the unusual step of adding an optional rising roof to the Excels, an uncommon feature on a low-profile ‘van, and one that is also seen in its Expedition and Adventure campervans.

This proved popular with our judging panel at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2025, as the Auto-Trail Excel models with pop-up roofs were picked out as the best motorhome innovation, as well as being shortlisted for a further category.

The brand has enjoyed further success at the Practical Motorhome Awards too – at the 2022 Awards, the Auto-Trail F68 and Auto-Trail Grande Frontier GF 88 won a category apiece, as well as being shortlisted four times between them.

Bailey

Address: South Liberty Lane, Bristol BS3 2SS 0117 966 5967 www.baileyofbristol.co.uk

  • 1 x Gold Award, 2 x Silver Awards at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2025
  • 1 x Gold Award, 2 x Silver Awards at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2024
  • 1 x Gold Award, 2 x Silver Awards at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2023

One of Britain’s biggest makes of caravan, Bailey only started producing motorhomes in 2011, initially using Peugeot base vehicles – however, since the release of the Adamo range in 2020, it has been working with Ford.

For 2024, the maker released two new ranges to join its Autograph and Adamo models – the Alora and its first-ever campervan range, the Endeavour, with both making their debuts at the October NEC Show.

However, the Autograph range was dropped from the brand’s site in early 2024, with the brand commenting: “We built the last of the current Autograph range some time ago, and the next generation is not due for launch until later next year.”

The 2025 February NEC Show saw Bailey add three new models to its Adamo range, the XLs. Each ‘van is 8m long, with the Ford-based models targeted at those who enjoy longer tours, coming with twice the payload seen in a standard Adamo. However, the XLs have an MTPLM of 4250kg, meaning a C1 licence will be needed.

Bailey also added two models to its Endeavour campervan range, the B63 and B65. The Ford Transit-based ‘vans both come to less than six metres, with the B63 particularly impressing our judges at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2025, where it was named the best 2 berth campervan with a shower and toilet. The B65 was shortlisted for a category too.

The manufacturer also launched its new Adamo 60-2 this season, which replaced the 60-4.

  • 1 x Gold Award, 1 x Silver Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2024
  • 2 x Silver Awards at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2023

This Spanish brand has been reintroduced to the UK exclusively by fellow Trigano subsidiary Marquis Leisure. It currently comprises three ranges – the Fiat-based Mileo and Primero, and the Ford-based Tessoro.

Three new Benimar ‘vans made their NEC debut on the Marquis stand at the most recent October show, while an updated layout was also on display. These included the Primero 202, a four-berth with a rear kitchen and washroom, the Tessoro 840, a three-berth with a rear fixed double, and the Tessoro 861, which is a three-berth with fixed single beds at the rear.

The Benimar Primero 202

The Mileo 294 also has a revised layout which now features a face-to-face lounge.

The Benimar Tessoro 483 proved a popular ‘van with our judges at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2023 too, winning a category and being shortlisted twice more. We really liked the high level of kit on offer, as well as the garage and the inclusion of a spacious end washroom. A further motorhome was shortlisted in 2024, while the maker had three appearances at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2022.

Bürstner

Address: Weststrasse 33, D-77694, Kehl/Rhein, Germany 00 49 7851 850 www.buerstner.com

  • 2 x Gold Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2025
  • 2 x Gold Awards, 1 x Silver Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2024, including being named the Best Manufacturer (New and Pre-owned)
  • 1 x Gold Award, 1 x Silver award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2023, including being named the joint best Best manufacturer – pre-owned motorhomes

Part of the Erwin Hymer Group, this longstanding German brand produces the full range of van conversions, low-profiles, A-classes and overcabs.

The 2025 season saw Bürstner release its new five-strong Campeo TD range of Fiat-based low-profiles. Coming with a double floor, four travel seats, diesel heating and a solar panel, the models are targeted at off-gridders. It also represented the first time the manufacturer released a model with three rear bunk beds, a drop-down double bed and a further double that can be made up in the front lounge.

The Bürstner Campeo TD 690

The manufacturer launched Skyline editions of its Lyseo Time and Campeo models too, coming with exclusive modern interiors and a standard level of equipment which is normally an option.

Bürstner has historically performed well at the Practical Motorhome Awards. Take the 2023 Awards – here, Bürstner won two categories, with the Eliseo C644 our pick of the four-berths, as we found ourselves impressed by the space it provided, as well as the garage included, while the Lyseo Gallery TD Harmony Line 689G impressed for the innovation it offered.

Another win followed at our 2022 Awards, while there have been eight further shortlist appearances, most recently at our 2025 Awards, where the Burstner Campeo TD 676 G was a highly commended option.

Carado

Address: Carado GmbH, Ölmühlestraße 6, 88299 Leutkirch, Germany carado.com/gb/en

Produced by Erwin Hymer Group, Carado makes a range of motorhomes and campervans to suit all sizes, ranging from more compact options to family ‘vans.

2025 has seen Carado make changes to the chassis of each vehicle – Citroen-based ‘vans now come with automatic transmission and aerodynamic mirrors as standard, while Ford-based options have an auto gearbox as standard, as well as an increase in the towing capacity, now reaching two tonnes. Models on the new Fiat Ducato get improved driver assistance and aerodynamic exterior mirrors too.

Carthago

Address: Cathago Ring 1, D-88326 Aulendorf, Germany 00 49 07525 9200 0 www.carthago.com/en

  • 1 x Silver Award winner at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2025
  • 1 x Gold Award, 1 x Silver Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2024
  • 1 x Gold Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2023

Upmarket Carthago is one of the few German motorhome brands that is still privately owned, producing well-built low-profiles and A-classes.

The 2025 season saw Carthago split its C-Tourer into two. This was done as the brand aimed to cut the vehicle weight, managing to shave up to 100kg from the MiRO of certain models from its previous season range.

This has seen four low profiles and seven A-classes in the C1 Tourer range, which are now available as a “lightweight” or 3.5 tonne chassis, while 13 A-classes and 11 low-profiles come on a “comfort” or 4.2-tonne chassis – both are available on a Fiat Ducato or a Mercedes Sprinter.

The C2 Tourer range, in contrast, are all A-classes and come on a Mercedes Sprinter with an Al-Ko low-frame chassis. By narrowing the width to 2.17m, Carthago has produced ‘vans of over 7m but with an MTPLM of 3500kg.

The Carthago C2 Tourer I 145 RB LE Lightweight 3.5t
The Carthago C2 Tourer I 145 RB LE Lightweight 3.5t

The maker is a regular contender at the Practical Motorhome Awards, having won the best A-class motorhome category at both the 2025 and 2022 Awards.

The 2025 success came through the Carthago C2 Tourer I 147 RB LE ‘K’ lightweight 3.5t, which was also shortlisted for a further category. 2022 saw the Carthago Chic C-Line I 4.9 Le L Superior being our pick of the A-class models, with our judges impressed by the high standard of fixtures and fittings.

The 7m long Carthago C Tourer 145 LB RE impressed at the 2024 Awards too – it’s available as both a low-profile and an A-class, as well as on a Fiat Ducato or Mercedes Sprinter base, and was shortlisted three times at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2024.

Carthago also found itself shortlisted three times at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2023 – two of these entries were through the Carthago Liner for Two I53, with our judging panel loving how you could almost forget you’re in a motorhome after pitching up.

Chausson is among the motorhome manufacturers that are part of the Trigano Group. One of the best-selling continental motorhome brands in the UK, Chausson has a range of highly innovative low-profiles.

The 2025 season saw the motorhome maker add the S695 Sport Line to its “S” range, providing a rear French bed which can be lifted up to reveal a spacious hanging wardrobe, with a dressing space outside. Our judges thought the results were impressive, naming it the best 2 berth motorhome at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2025 and shortlisting it twice more.

The “X” crossover range has also been upgraded, coming with silver side panels, “X” branding and a silver rear panel, while there is now a choice of three furniture finishes internally too.

The 660 low-profile also had its layout altered to now feature an L-shaped settee in the front lounge and a second door for external access to the garage. The second habitation door has also been taken away in a ‘van which also made the shortlist at the 2025 Awards, along with the Chausson 660.

Other models that have particularly stood out to us in recent years are the Chausson S514 and the revamped version, the Chausson S514 Sport Line, which improved what was already a successful vehicle. Both had successful Practical Motorhome Awards appearances, winning a category apiece at the 2022 and 2023 Awards respectively.

Other successes included having the Chausson Exclusive Line 660 shortlisted twice at our 2022 Awards and the Chausson X650 being named the standout low-profile ‘van in 2024, as well as being nominated two further times.

Coachman

Address: Amsterdam Road, Sutton Fields Industrial Estate, Hull HU7 0XF www.coachman.co.uk

A relative newcomer to the world of motorhomes, Coachman only made caravans up until 2022, when the brand was taken over by Swedish motorhome brand Kabe and moved into the ‘van sphere.

Since then, it has released three ranges. The first was the Travel Master, which is made up of two models – the Coachman Travel Master 565 and the 545, both of which were shortlisted at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2023.

The second is the Travel Master Imperial, the motorhome manufacturer’s first A-class ‘van which launched at the 2023 October NEC Show through the 845. The single-floorplan four-berth comes to 8.22m and offers a very high spec level.

  • 1 x Gold Award, 1 x Silver Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2023, including being named the joint Best manufacturer – pre-owned motorhomes

Dethleffs is one of the Erwin Hymer Group’s more upmarket brands, producing everything from compact low-profiles to huge overcabs with a strong focus on innovation. The manufacturer brought its first van conversions to the 2023 October NEC Show, with the Globetrail models available on either Fiat Ducato or Citroen Relay.

For 2025, Dethleffs made significant changes to its Globetrail range, now simplifying it to nine models and no longer dividing it between Classic or Advantage.

The brand also added the Globetrail 640HR to the range, a ‘van with a drop-down transverse bed at the rear.

A new addition came in the form of the Family A 7872-2, a huge six berth with an MTPLM of 5400kg, so you would need to ensure you have the right driving licence to drive the motorhome. Coming with a 40cm deep double floor, it made its debut at the 2024 October NEC Show. Special editions of its Just Camp low-profile range and Active ‘vans with exclusive decals were also launched.

The brand has been shortlisted nine times since the 2022 Awards, as well as winning two further categories, most recently in 2024 through the Globetrail 540DR Advantage.

  • 3 x Silver Award winner at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2023

Erwin Hymer bought Elddis, one of the UK’s biggest brands, a few years ago – about the same time that Elddis itself had resurrected the Compass brand in motorhomes. Since then it has moved into highly innovative van conversions too.

The 2025 season saw Elddis replace the Encore range with the Avalon, a four-strong Fiat line-up which is produced in-house and is designed to prevent water ingress.

Elddis currently offers three motorhome ranges – Accordo, Autoquest and Avalon – as well as the Autoquest CV camper van range.

There was a successful showing for the brand at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2023, with the Elddis Autoquest 115 winning a category and being shortlisted once more, a feat repeated by the Elddis Autoquest 150 at the 2022 Awards.

Owned by Pilote, Frankia produces uber-luxurious A-classes and low-profiles including the popular Plus models, with beds that drop down over the cab. You can choose between Fiat- and Mercedes-based models.

One such ‘van is the Platin I 8400 Plus, a ‘van which we rated highly when we saw it and a model that was a winner at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2022. We thought it offered a truly luxurious and self-sufficient touring experience.

At the Practical Motorhome Awards 2023, the Frankia MI 7 BD Neo was shortlisted, with our judges liking how it managed to provide the same quality in a ‘van that was a more manageable length. There was another appearance on the shortlist at our 2025 Awards, through the Platin Pure I7400GD.

The manufacturer also released two new low-profile ranges – the more compact On Tour C, which comes to only 2.23m wide, and the more conventional On Tour T, with a width of 2.4m.

Hobby has renamed its campervans “Van” too, a change from the Vantana used for the 2024 season. The flagship brand of the Erwin Hymer Group, Hymer produces luxurious A-classes and low-profiles with a distinctive exterior profile, as well as Fiat Ducato van conversions. It has started building its own SLC chassis in conjunction with Mercedes Benz.

For 2025, Hymer has focused on off-road campers, releasing two crossover special editions, both coming on a Mercedes Sprinter but one a low-profile, another a campervan. That’s not all – there are also BlackLine special editions of its B-Class Modern Comfort range of low-profiles and A-classes.

A special edition of its Grand Canyon S has also been released in the form of the Grand Canyon X Experience Special Edition, which is the first ‘van from the manufacturer to have a 5G router as standard.

One new model that particularly impressed us is the Hymer MLT570 CrossOver – it was not only named the best motorhome for full-time living at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2025, but was also highly commended in another category. There was a further appearance for the Hymer Grand Canyon S Crossover in our pick of the luxurious campers.

The Hymer Venture S proved popular with our judges at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2023 too, where it was our pick for the most innovative motorhome and was also shortlisted twice more.

Knaus

Address: Helmut-Knaus-Strasse 1, D-94118, Jandelsbrunn, Germany www.knaus.com

The new season has seen Knaus add the Cascan 690 LE, a four-wheel drive ‘van which features the brand’s new waterless Cleanflex toilet system. The system uses odour-proof films that can be disposed of with domestic refuse and is an option for all models from the brand for 2025 which do not have a bench toilet. We thought it was particularly innovative and named it the best green initiative in motorhoming at our recent Awards.

Our 2023 Awards saw another category win, this time through the Knaus Tourer Van 700MQ Vansation, while the motorhome make had two more ‘vans shortlisted that year and a further three shortlisted in 2022.

Laika

Address: Via Certaldese 41A, San Casciano in Val di Pesa, 50026 Firenze, Italy 00 39 055 80581 www.laika.it/en

A motorhome brand named after the dog that went into space? Why not? Tuscan brand Laika, part of the Erwin Hymer Group, produces A-classes and low-profiles with typical Italian flair and great attention to detail.

Laika is among the motorhome manufacturers to be celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. This is being marked with the launch of a rear lounge low-profile, the Fiat Ducato-based Kosmo L105, which only comes to 5.99m long and was our pick for the best motorhome under 6m at our 2025 Awards. Despite its length, the motorhome still comes with a roof light in the rear lounge, even though there are two beds to be found there, while a double floor provides good storage options.

The Laika Kosmo L105
The Laika Kosmo L105

Two new models have also been released for the UK market – the Kosmo L4.9 and the L4.12, both coming with habitation doors on the “right” side.

Changes have been made to its Ecovip range as well, with interior refreshes carried out, including an updated kitchen. An ergonomic semi-circular table has also been added to the low-profiles and A-classes in the range.

The start of the year saw two campervans added to Laika’s Kosmo range too. The Kosmo 50 and the Kosmo 60 unusually come with rear transverse beds, as well as optional roof beds and a single berth in the dinette. The Kreos L 5009 has also been updated, now coming with a larger cab and a vehicle floor which extends into it.

The Laika Kreos H 5109 was added for 2024, with the motorhome offering a front lounge with an L-shaped dinette and two fixed single beds at the rear. It proved popular with our judges, being our pick of the A-classes on the market last season, thanks to its stylish looks and spec.

Produced by Pilote, Le Voyageur makes top-class liner motorhomes, including the Heritage range. This includes the Le Voyageur 7.6 GJF Heritage, which was highly commended in our A-class category at our 2025 Awards.

Last season saw Le Voyageur introduce the Eterna, a Fiat-based range on the new STC Al-Ko chassis that replaces the Classic. This means Eterna models now have a flat floor throughout.

This includes the Le Voyageur Eterna 7.0 GJF, a ‘van with no cab doors to keep the weight down. It was our pick for the most luxurious motorhome on the market at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2024, as we loved the smooth drive and comfort it provides throughout.

Malibu

Address: Cathago Ring 1, D-88326 Aulendorf, Germany 00 49 07525 9200 0 www.carthago.com/en

Malibu is Carthago’s budget brand, producing A-class, coachbuilts and campervans.

Malibu released its first campervan on a Mercedes Sprinter this season, the Genius 641 LE. The ‘van innovatively has an extension built into the rear which has been bolted to the original body but still incorporates the original vehicle’s beading and headlights, adding 47cm to the length and keeping its 3500kg MPTLM. The length is being used to provide a longer kitchen and storage options.

The brand also released three of its low-profile and A-classes on a Mercedes Sprinter with an Al-Ko low frame chassis.

Mobilvetta

Address: Willersey,nr Broadway, Worcestershire  0800 026 7777 www.marquisleisure.com

Like Spanish brand Benimar, Italian manufacturer Mobilvetta has been reintroduced into the UK exclusively by fellow Trigano subsidiary Marquis Leisure. Its K Yacht Tekno Line range of A-classes has a distinctly nautical feel.

One such example is the Mobilvetta K Yacht Tekno Line 95 – when we reviewed the model in 2022, we thought it was a stylish and quality ‘van, with a very comfortable lounge.

Then there’s the K Yacht Tekno Line 59/2, which was shortlisted at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2024 too.

A new release from the maker for the 2025 season is the Mobilvetta Admiral, which made its October NEC Show debut on the Marquis Leisure stand. The two-berth, which was shortlisted at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2025, comes on a Fiat Ducato and offers a space-saving worktop and features such as a Truma Combi 4 heating system.

Pilote

Address: Route du Demi Boeuf, 4310 La Limouziniere, France 00 33 02 40 32 16 00 www.pilote-motorhome.uk

  • 1 x Silver Award winner at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2025
  • 2 x Silver Award winner at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2024

French brand Pilote produces A-classes, low-profiles and van conversions with a wide range of spec levels.

Pilote has said it intends to move away from “seasonal” range overhauls each year and instead wants to start making technical changes to chosen ranges at the beginning and middle of the year.

Pilote added the 720U Expression to its line-up for 2025, a model our judges liked enough to name the best motorhome for couples at the 2025 Practical Motorhome Awards. The rear lounge motorhome has a similar layout to the 696U introduced last season, but its length of 7.25m makes it 20cm longer.

Changes have also been made to the manufacturer’s motorhomes, including redesigned washrooms, using more lightweight materials, and adding black front corners to the exterior of the ‘vans. Pilote discontinued its X Edition special edition ‘vans, and has also streamlined the rest of its panel vans, which now come as Expression models (which are easier to tailor) or Evidence (more “take it or leave it” special editions).

There have been an impressive 12 shortlisted appearances at the Practical Motorhome Awards in recent years, including through the Pilote Atlas A656D at our 2024 Awards, which was shortlisted three times, and the Pilote V633M, which made the shortlist twice at our 2023 Awards.

Rapido

Address: 414 rue des Perrouins, CS 20019 53101 Mayenne, France 00 33 02 43 30 10 70 www.rapido-motorhome.co.uk

  •  1 x Gold Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2025, including being named the Best Manufacturer: Pre-Owned Motorhomes
  • 1 x Gold Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2024
  • 1 x Gold Award, 1 x Silver Award at the Owner Satisfaction Awards 2023

Rapido produces a full range of motorhomes under its own name, as well as more budget-priced Itineo A-classes and low-profiles, and highly innovative camper vans which are branded as Dreamer in the UK.

The 2025 season has seen Rapido add two new Mercedes Sprinter-based ‘vans to its Distinction range, both coming to 8.15m-long. This includes the I66M, which has fixed single beds, and the I96M, which has an island bed.

Rapido has also released special editions for its compact range and the spec has been updated for its Ultimate Line models.

The brand’s 2024 line-up saw a new take on the transverse bed arrangement. With the manufacturer believing that the 5.99m length other motorhome brands offer for the transverse bed layout can feel cramped, the decision was taken to introduce the Rapido C03 to the low-profile C series, which comes to a length of 6.19m.

This extra 20cm means a conventional wardrobe and a large fridge are included, while steps lead up to the bed, replacing a ladder. The results proved impressive, as it was a category winner at our 2024 Awards.

This hasn’t been Rapido’s only recent success either – since 2022, there have been a further two category wins and an impressive 12 shortlisted appearances.

Distributed in the UK by fellow Trigano Group subsidiary Auto-Trail, Roller-Team is an Italian motorhome manufacturer with a strong focus on family vans. It is also the only A-class producer to include UK-oriented cab doors. The brand recently announced it was introducing its Livingstone range of campervans to the UK market.

The brand had the ultimate accolade of being named the best motorhome manufacturer at our 2025 Owner Satisfaction Awards, so it’s not surprising that there were three shortlisted appearances at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2025 either.

Britain’s largest leisure vehicle manufacturer has been producing motorhomes since 1985. Perhaps best known for its family-oriented Kon-Tiki range, the British motorhome brand announced it was releasing its first campervan in 2021, the Swift Monza.

The 2025 season has been marked by the release of new models and refreshes across the ranges.

New releases include the Swift Voyager 505 and the 510, while the manufacturer also updated the Voyager 4 Series and Voyager 5 Series, which now come with new exterior graphics and internal soft furnishing schemes.

The 510 particularly stood out to our judging panel at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2025, being named the best 4 berth motorhome on the market. This continued the Voyager range’s winning run, which has seen it win three further categories since the 2023 Awards, thanks to the Voyager 494 and Voyager 475 in 2024 and the Voyager 584 in 2023.

The Carrera range has also seen the Carrera 244 pop top added, with the four-berth coming on a Fiat Ducato. The range as a whole has had a 10-inch touchscreen HD display and TomTom 3D Sat Nav added too.

The Trekker XL also joined the Trekker range, with the Ford Transit-based camper having a 110W solar panel, a built-in oven with a grill and Ford Sync 4. It was the Swift Trekker X which particularly impressed our judges this year though, being named the best campervan for solo travel.

The Ascari range has been updated too, now coming on a Fiat cab and with a 10-inch touchscreen HD colour display and a combined oven and grill, while the revamped Escape is coming on a Fiat chassis to offer an eye-catching exterior.

Finally, the Kon-Tiki has also been updated, now providing a black metallic cab and an updated front body and grille.

Weinsberg

Address: Helmut-Knaus-Strasse 1, D-94118, Jandelsbrunn, Germany www.weinsberg.com

The budget brand from Knaus, the first Weinsberg model hit the road in 1969, but nowadays, the manufacturer offers both motorhomes and campervans.

The new season saw Weinsberg release an off-road X-Pedition 600 MQ Study, a Mercedes Sprinter-based option which has rear-wheel drive as standard. It comes with the new Knaus Cleanflex system which is waterless and doesn’t require any toilet chemicals, instead using biodegradable films which can, instead, be disposed of in a bin.

The brand was a winner at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2023 too, thanks to the Weinsberg X-Cursion Van 500 LT, which was also shortlisted a further three times. We really appreciated touches like the cosy lounge and the wardrobe that can be accessed externally.

Where can I see the best motorhome brands?

There are UK shows you can visit where you can see a wide variety of motorhomes from many of the manufacturers covered here, and all in one place. The two biggest happen at Birmingham’s NEC, with the larger show in October when the season’s new models are launched, and a smaller one earlier in the year. The October 2025 show will be running from 14th-19th October.

A show runs at Glasgow’s SECC too, normally taking place around the same time for those north of the border – in 2026, it will be held between 5-8 February. There is also a smaller show at EventCity in Manchester in January, which will be running from 15th-18th in 2026.
