In our March 2011 issue, we’ve featured Lincolnshire, and we’d like to draw your attention to an error. On page 57, in the entry for Orchard Holiday Park (pictured), we’ve used the wrong text by accident, which describes a completely different site. All the contact details are accurate, as are the data on the reverse page, but the body text itself is wrong, and should read as below.
“This little gem of a touring park nestles in the Lincolnshire countryside, yet is only four miles from the centre of Boston. Orchard Park occupies both sides of a quiet county lane; on one side is the reception, with a bar above it, and the static caravans, while on the other side is the touring park. The separation between touring pitches and statics is welcome. There’s a choice of hardstandings or large grass pitches and, since this is an adults-only park, it’s the perfect place to relax in tranquillity. The large central facilities block is one of the best we have seen – as well as all the usual amenities, there are large privacy rooms and the whole building has the benefit of underfloor heating.
Anglers will enjoy the large well-stocked lake and there is also fishing in the river that marks the park’s Northern boundary. Walkers can follow a riverside path into the heart of Boston or, for a shorter stroll, Hubberts Bridge is just 10 minutes away. If you can’t bear to leave the park, and many can’t, then at the entrance there’s an excellent café serving wholesome meals.”
We apologise for the error. For those who enjoy keeping our Good Sites Guides, we recommend that you print out this page, cut out the correct text and keep it alongside the guide to Orchard Holiday Park.
