Best motorhome site in Cornwall overall
Well done to Silver Sands, our Regional Winner in Cornwall for the third year in a row! The campsite, which also features in our best campervan sites in the UK guide, is set in nine acres of parkland and provides 17 pitches, offering guests a tranquil environment for exploring the region.
It’s a site that is well situated for taking in Cornwall’s many delights. It can be found in the Lizard Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is home to a number of fishing villages, coves and beaches.
Visitors can stroll to the picturesque Kennack Sands, only 1km away, with the walk taking them through Gwendreath Valley. Cornwall is known for its characterful villages and towns, and there will be plenty to visit in the surrounding area, including Porthallow, Porthleven and Falmouth. The site offers bike hire too, to make exploring simpler.
The site’s environmental efforts have resulted in a David Bellamy Gold Award and both Wildflower Habitat and Hedge Habitat badges.
Facilities include a laundrette, a children’s play area, a one-acre dog-walk, and a shower and toilet block, while pitches come with electric hook-up and water connection – visitors are also allowed small campfires on touring and camping pitches.

This tranquil adults-only site is only a mile from the village of Chacewater, providing visitors with fully serviced hardstanding and grass pitches.
Wander into Chacewater to find a pub and a fish and chip shop, or explore some of Cornwall’s most popular tourist destinations, such as Truro, St Ives and Newquay.
A purpose-built amenities building comes with privacy cubicles, free hot water and central heating, while ‘van owners can stock up on essentials such as milk and bread at the reception. Each pitch comes with 16A hook-up and drinking water connections too.

Offering guests a great location for visiting attractions such as The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Polruan Holidays is a three-acre site set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Only 200m from the South West Coast Path, guests can soak up stunning coastal views or alternatively, head to Polperro and Looe.
Polruan has won numerous David Bellamy Conservation Awards, with nesting boxes and bird feeders dotted around. The site also does its bit to encourage wildlife by planting seasonal and wildflowers.

Sitting between St Agnes and St Ives, Tehidy is a carbon-neutral campsite which is set in the beautiful Tolskithy Valley. Guests will find themselves well situated for trips to Truro, Porthtowan, and the sandy beach at Portreath.
Tehidy prides itself on its environmental credentials, having won Green Tourism and David Bellamy Conservation Awards. Many of the pitches are spaced out by mature plantings. Guests can make use of facilities including a games room, a play area and a shop where local produce can be bought – EV charging is also available, as is WiFi.

A 12-acre adults-only site set in the Roseland Peninsula, Trethem Mill looks to provide a peaceful setting for guests who want to get away from it all. St Just in Roseland is only 1.25 miles away, while visitors can explore villages such as St Mawes or Porthscatho – other destinations include Falmouth, Truro and St Austell.
Facilities include a shop, an amenities building, a dog-walk and a laundrette, while EV charging is also available. The site’s individually hedged pitches all come with 16A hook-up and a picnic table.
