The site has been operating for nearly 80 years and deserves recognition for receiving the Regional Winner title in our Top 100 Sites Guide 2025 for the fourth year in a row.

The best motorhome sites in Cornwall provide the ideal base for exploring this stunning region, and unsurprisingly, Silver Sands has plenty to see in the surrounding area. Embark on the 1km walk through woodland to reach the beautiful Kennack Sands or take to the South West Coast Path and explore the breathtaking vistas that the Cornish coastline provides.

Other destinations include beautiful Kynance Cove and tranquil Helford River; alternatively, visit Porthleven and Falmouth. The peaceful site provides spacious pitches, static caravans and lodges.

Small campfires are permitted on touring and camping pitches, while three play areas will help to keep children entertained. Free Wi-Fi is also provided, as is an onsite launderette and EV charging. Dogs also go free in March and October.

The site works hard to help the natural world, carrying out plantings to improve the on-site biodiversity, as well as promoting car-free activities such as the option of hiring electric bikes. The nearest bus stop is only a 10-minute walk away.

St Just in Roseland is only 1.25 miles away, while visitors can explore villages such as St Mawes or Porthscatho – other destinations include Falmouth, Truro and St Austell.

Wander into Chacewater to find a pub and a fish and chip shop, or explore some of Cornwall’s most popular tourist destinations, such as Truro, St Ives and Newquay.

A purpose-built amenities building comes with privacy cubicles, free hot water and central heating, while ‘van owners can stock up on essentials such as milk and bread at the reception. Each pitch comes with 16A hook-up and drinking water connections too.
