Well done to Silver Sands Holiday Park for retaining its title of Regional Winner for Cornwall!

It’s a site that is well situated for taking in Cornwall’s many delights. It can be found in the Lizard Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is home to a number of fishing villages, coves and beaches.

There are plenty of walks on offer in the area, including the 1km woodland stroll through Gwendreath Valley, which brings guests to Kennack Sands. Kynance Cove and the Helford River are both easy to get to as well, while a village bar is within walking distance.

Silver Sands

Set in nine acres of parkland, the site’s facilities include a toilet block with free showers and hot water, a shop, a children’s play area and a barbecue point, ideal if you’ve brought a motorhome barbecue on tour with you. A laundrette and washing up area can also be used. Each pitch comes with electric hook-up and water connection, while small campfires are permitted on both touring and camping pitches.

A one-acre dog walk will appeal to anyone touring with a canine companion. The site is also committed to helping the natural environment, having been awarded badges for Wildflower Habitat and Hedge Habitat in 2016 and 2018 respectively, along with receiving a Gold David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award.

This motorhome site in Cornwall sits in the centre of the region, and provides a good location for visiting its many sights. The campsite, which is set in a peaceful valley, has no clubhouse, instead focusing on giving guests a tranquil space.

There is plenty to see in the surrounding area, including the two towns of Fowey and Lostwithiel. Eden Valley also provides a good location for exploring Bodmin Moor, the South West Coast Path and the Eden Project.

The campsite offers good facilities too, as you would expect from one of Cornwall’s best motorhome sites. These include a toilet block with hot showers, a separate heated toilet and shower block, laundry facilities, an indoor games room and a dog exercise paddock, as well as a children’s playground.

This campsite offers guests stunning sea views and a peaceful setting, with an emphasis on making sure everyone enjoys a relaxed stay. The three-acre site sits only 200 metres away from the South West Coast Path, and is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Cornish motorhome site provides a modern facilities block with hot showers, a laundry room and free Wi-Fi, along with a children’s play area. Polruan works hard to encourage wildlife and do its bit for the environment. This includes planting wildflowers, as well as installing nesting boxes and feeders for birds. Numerous David Bellamy Conservation Awards have been won.

Sitting in a wooded valley, the beautiful Tehidy Holiday Park is set between St Ives and St Agnes.

Guests will be able to enjoy spaced out pitches, with mature planting separating many. The park offers a shop, which is well-stocked with local produce and groceries, and EV owners can use an electric-vehicle charging point. There is also a games room and a laundrette. The recently refurbished shower block includes disabled facilities that double as a family room with baby changing.

The site also has excellent environmental credentials, having received Green Tourism accreditation and winning David Bellamy Conservation Awards.

Trethem Mill is ideally placed for guests who want to explore the delights of the South West Coast Path and take in the beauty of the Roseland Peninsula. It’s an adults-only site that gives motorcaravanners some extra privacy, thanks to the individually hedged pitches.

Covering 12 acres, the site offers both a nature trail and a dog walk. Other facilities include a shop, a laundrette, an amenities building, an indoor dishwashing zone and also an EV charging point.

The park is well placed for exploring Truro and Falmouth, while the nearby villages of Porthscatho and St Mawes can also be visited.

Sitting in the grounds of 17th Century Trewan Hall, this Cornish motorhome site is set over 36 acres of woodland, and is nestled between Newquay and Padstow. St Columb Major, a quaint market town, is also only a short stroll from the campsite.

During the high season, the site opens a 25m heated swimming pool. Other facilities at the motorhome site in Cornwall, which has also won a Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award, include a games field, a dog-walk, a heated shower and toilet block, and an onsite shop, which offers camping gear and local produce. Children can also use the adventure playground.
