Amazon regularly runs special events for its Prime subscribers, and the latest is its Prime Big Deal Days event, which is taking place this week. As always, there is a vast array of products on sale, all at knock-down prices – one of the trickiest things is knowing what’s worth investing in as a motorhomer, and what’s not.
But fear not – I’m the editor of Practical Motorhome, and I’ve spent the past couple of days trawling through what’s available, to find the best deals out there. And because money is tight for everyone at the moment – particularly with the high costs of fuel – I’ve focused on those products that cost £10 or less. I think that each and every one of these is a great item to carry in your motorhome.

Don’t miss my pick of the five products that have caught my eye in the Prime Big Deal Days sale either.

Autoglym Fast Glass was £11.49 now £7.11 (save 38%)
I really like Autoglym’s automotive products – I have a wide selection in my garage at home. So it’s always great to see its cleaners on sale during Prime events, and the price of this Fast Glass instantly caught my eye. It’s a really handy cleaner to keep in your ‘van, allowing you to quickly wipe down any windows – glass or acrylic – that need it, particularly your windscreen after a long journey. It’s also really helpful for keeping the inside of windscreen clean as well, something that it’s very easy to forget, and which can make glare from oncoming traffic worse.

Blukar Rechargeable LED Torch was £8.99 now £6.63 (save 26%)
We all have a torch on our phones, of course, but I always keep on in the ‘van, too – in fact, I have this exact model. It’s a fantastic piece of kit for the price: it’s compact enough to not take up too much space in a locker, yet bright enough to give really powerful illumination if I need to check something on the outside of the ‘van at night, or to take on strolls to the local pub during dark autumn evenings. It recharges quickly via USB and the battery seems to last ages; I also like the fact that it feels very solid and well made.

Portable Hand Washing Soap Sheets was £6.99 now £5.94 (save 15%)
More often than not I use the washroom in the ‘van, but I do use a site’s washrooms on occasion – and sometimes they don’t have soap available to wash your hands, particularly if you’re staying at a smaller site or staying off-grid. That’s why I really like these portable soap sheets: simply keep a packet in your washbag or pocket and use one of the small sheets when you need it to help wash your hands. They’re great for travelling anywhere, in fact, and light enough to take on walks or cycle rides, ready for when you might need them.

Teskyer Travel Cable Organiser Bag was £9.99 now £7.99 (save 20%)
I have one of these travel organisers and I can’t now imagine life without it – it’s incredibly handy to keep everything neat and tidy in a ‘van locker, and prevents cables from being lost or tangled in transit. It features a variety of pockets and holders to stow a variety of cables, and has a larger section that I keep a battery power pack in, too. It’s available in a number of different colours, and the zips and fabrics used in its construction feel good quality. It’s surprisingly spacious inside, and the double-zip design makes it easy to access everything when you need it.

Over the Door Organiser was £15.99 now £9.48 (save 41%)
Space is at a premium in every motorhome, of course, so it’s important to make the most of every inch. That’s why I think this over-door organiser looks as though it could be a great addition to any ‘van: simply hang it over your wardrobe or washroom door and it can be used to store a variety of items, keeping them tidy but easy to access when you need them. The pockets have clear plastic fronts to allow you to see what’s inside, while cardboard bases should help retain the unit’s structure. There are pockets on the side, too, where you can store smaller items.
