New pop-up roof versions of vans launched last year are the key attractions in the Knaus and Weinsberg line-up for 2024.
The Knaus Tourer CUV and Weinsberg X-Cursion CUV 500 LT continue the motorhome layout of last year’s Tourer and X-Cursion Van – with a shower in the central washroom that can be collapsed to allow more room for the rear bed, and an optional slide-out bed over the cab that makes the van a four-berth.
But the new models, based on a VW T6.1, also include a roof that rises on all sides to increase internal headroom by 70cm to 2.17m. This also means that in driving mode with the roof down the van creates less wind resistance and should be able to fit under most car park barriers.
Both vans from the motorhome manufacturers are also available as special CUVISION and [PEPPER] editions, with extras including automatic transmission, reversing cameras and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Elsewhere in Knaus, Van Ti Plus models now come with a 10cm thicker but 10kg lighter floor, Van Wave models now come with a diesel heater to reduce weight, while the Van Ti 640 MEG VANSATION is now also available on a VW Crafter. Boxstar has been renamed Box Life Pro.
In Weinsberg, six new models have been added to the CaraSuite and CaraLoft models, two of which are motorhomes under 6m long.
Weinsberg and Knaus are not the only brands to be revealing details about their 2024 plans, with Chausson adding a new model to its crossover “X” range, as well as launching a new special edition “Etape” range.
