Coachman has arrived at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC this week (13th-18th February) with three new models, including its first ever van conversions called Affinity.

With a wide range of the biggest motorhome manufacturers all in one place, the NEC Show is a great opportunity for visitors to see many of the best campervans all in one place, as well as the newest releases on the market.

In the case of the new Coachman models, the Affinity Duo, based on either a Fiat Ducato or a MAN TGE chassis, and the Affinity One, based on a Fiat Ducato, both unusually have French beds in the rear.

The MAN TGE-based Coachman Affinity Duo on display at the February NEC Show (£97,400) only has two travel seats, to leave enough room in its 6.84m overall length for a central kitchen and an end washroom complete with a separate shower cubicle.

The French bed needs to be extended for use. When not in use it can be rolled back to allow easier access to a row of cupboards that run along the rear of the offside of the van.

Spec includes a 130Ah leisure battery and a 200-litre fresh water tank.

The Affinity One (£86,455), meanwhile, includes a rear bench with two travel seats ahead of an L-shaped kitchen. The French bed sits alongside a corner washroom, with a shower tray at the front and a loo below a fold-away behind. Like the Duo, it also features a row of cupboard down the offside, this time half height.

Also on show on the Coachman stand is the new Travelmaster Sportivo 565 low-profile, based on a Mercedes Sprinter with a 170bhp engine and auto gearbox fitted as standard. The 7.45m-long van (£114,000) is a motorhome with fixed single beds in the rear, and a central L-shaped kitchen opposite a central washroom.

All three vans have an MTPLM of 3500kg, so could be driven by anyone.

Coachman isn’t the only manufacturer to be releasing new ‘vans at the Show, with Dreamer unveiling its new City Camp campervan. As well as that, we also spoke to CAMC ambassador Annabel Croft, who told us about her motorhoming experiences.
