Ferry operator DFDS has announced that the company has closed its Liverpool-Dublin passenger service. Full information has yet to be announced, but the crossing appears to have been terminated with immediate effect.

Motorcarvanners with booked crossings are advised to contact DFDS customer services on 0871 522 9955. “The staff in our reservations department are currently looking at all bookings made for 2011 and once we have this produced we will contact anyone affected by the closure,” said Don Clarke, DFDS Business Development Manager.
