Erwin Hymer Group UK (Elddis) - Practical Motorhome

Having been in business for almost six decades, Erwin Hymer Group UK are leisure-vehicle experts from the north-east, offering a wide range of excellent motorhomes under the Elddis and Compass brands.

In all, the brand, who features in our best motorhome manufacturer guide, currently offers 23 models to choose from.

These range from the £63,000, two-berth Elddis Autoquest 115 (our winner of the best motorhome under 7m at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2023) and Compass Avantgarde 115, to the £71,000 Autoquest and Avantgarde 196s.

The Elddis and Compass size and layouts for each model number are the same, but the interior panels, trim and fabrics vary.

Compass’s lines offer a classy dark-wood look called Narbonne Oak, along with Marrakech ActivCare upholstery. Meanwhile, the Elddis motorhomes come with stylish Ashton cabinetry – a lighter, mid-oak effect, matched with Mercury ActivCare fabrics. Both fabric choices are hard-wearing and easy to keep clean, while the cabinets feature dove-tail joints and positive-locking catches.

Four Elddis Encore motorhomes, the 250, 255, 285 and 295, are available to order now, with first availability in Autumn 2023. These are in addition to two Compass Concerto motorhomes, the 250 and the 255.

All the motorhomes have brilliant Peugeot Boxer cabs with powerful 2.2-litre 140bhp turbo diesel engines and six-speed gearboxes. These are both fuel efficient and smooth.

Meanwhile, clever design makes the most of the habitation space, creating versatile, cosy and comfortable living areas across all ranges.

With such a wide range of thoughtfully-designed vehicles, Elddis truly has something for everyone.
