Star of the Swift Group stand at the Motorhome and Caravan Show is the radically revamped Bolero range, and our pick is the 724FB. Powered by the new and improved Euro 5 Fiat Ducato engine, the range now comprises seven low-profile models, and is based on the AL-KO chassis for the first time.

The 724FB features the popular French bed with transverse washroom at the rear. Up front, there’s a half dinette, with two belted passenger seats, plus a facing side sofa, making this a genuine four berth ’van.

The show model is fitted with the Vogue option pack, which gets you an upgraded radio/CD player, with steering wheel controls, Bluetooth mobile connectivity, iPod connection, dashboard plug-in mount for a TomTom sat nav and rear-view reversing camera, as well as air con and cruise control. This brings the show price to £55,040 OTR.

In the accommodation area, heating and hot water is now courtesy of Alde’s system: a premium piece of kit that’s a welcome inclusion at this price point.
