Swift has launched the Trekker, a new campervan range which comes with an elevating roof.

The range is designed for those who are looking for the best camper van for adventures, with two models released – the Trekker and the Trekker X, both of which offer four berths and four travel seats.

Coming with smart 16-inch alloy wheels and a Euro 6D 170bhp, 2.0 litre TDCi EcoBlue engine with six-speed manual transmission, the Ford-Transit based ‘vans have a smart Grey Matter exterior.

Inside, two of the berths are made up at the rear of the ‘van – as they fold down, the area also provides good storage options. The other two berths can be found in the pop-top roof, where a moulded roof hatch provides lighting and USB points.

The Trekker itself has a length of 5.53m and an OTR price starting from £70,995. In the kitchen, a combined Dometic two-burner stainless steel hob and sink can be found, along with a 50-litre compressor fridge, while the washroom includes an Ecocamel Jetstorm shower head and Thetford cassette toilet.

With a length of 5.91m and OTR price starting from £71,995, the Trekker X uses the extra space to offer features such as a bigger rear bed, as well as a Dometic 20-litre oven and grill and a 70-litre Dometic compressor fridge.

Both models have an MTPLM of 3500kg and a width of 2.11m.

The range only has one option available, with the choice of upgrading to a 170bhp, 2.0 litre TDCi Ford EcoBlue engine with six-speed automatic transmission.

The new launches follow in the footsteps of the new sub-range of the Voyager series from the motorhome manufacturer, which took two categories at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2024.

In news from another manufacturer, Bailey has dropped the Autograph range from its website, with the next generation due to arrive next year. The Caravan and Motorhome Club has also provided further information about the cyber attack that happened in January.
