A survey has revealed Cornwall is the most popular destination to visit in the UK for motorhomers.

Cornwall is known for its many beautiful beaches, stunning sea views and a long history. It was also represented in our Top 100 Sites Guide 2026, with four campsites named, including Silver Sands Holiday Park, which was voted the best motorhome site in Cornwall.

This particular survey, which was conducted by motorhome insurance specialist Safeguard, saw 500 motorhome and campervan owners vote for their favourite holiday location, with Cornwall taking top spot, as 26% picked it as their must-visit destination.

Second place went to The Lake District, which achieved 22%.  Another well-known and popular touring spot, it provides breathtaking scenery, quaint towns and villages, and an ideal spot for enjoying outdoor activities. Be sure to take a look at our guide to the best campervan sites in the Lake District to see some of our favourite destinations to pitch up at if you’re thinking of visiting.
