What do you think of this inflatable drive-away motorhome awning? Do you like it?

This is the more reserved colour offered by OlPro for a drive-away awning aimed directly at the camper van sector – the alternative and altogether more flamboyant orange and black is the most popular combination to date.

The Breeze line-up comprises three inflatable models in the two colour combinations – so there’s a good choice at prices that are keen.

This is the mid-range Breeze, in blue and grey. It uses OlPro’s Oltech fabric, a 210D Oxford polyester with a generous 5000mm hydrostatic head waterproof rating.

Taped seams provide extra protection at the places most likely to let in water (not to be confused with the condensation that can result in any enclosed area, although OlPro has the ventilation to overcome this).

As with any inflatable awning, attaching and putting it up is easy – allow yourself around 10 to 15 minutes.

A hand pump is supplied as standard – try it before deciding whether you need an electric pump.

There are just two main poles to inflate, plus a further three roof support beams to slot into place.

Other key details include luminous straps and guylines, with adjustable straps on the main pegging points.

Five-way access is generous, and includes doors at the tunnel between the main living area and your camper van, so you can shut it off if you go for the bedroom option.

It also gives you great all-round visibility, which really does cater for wherever you pitch.

You can have privacy, too, of course – each window has a roll-up curtain. A side canopy helps with a bit of extra overhead protection.

As with any such awning, the fixed groundsheet can be a mixed blessing. It keeps out the draughts and unwanted bugs, as well as making the whole unit a one-piece.

The downside is such a unit can seem bulky, especially compared to traditional awnings, where you can separate the poles and the tent, for storage.

Also, a fixed groundsheet isn’t going to be kind to grass if you’re planning on staying in one place for a long time.

Nevertheless, at just 18kg the OlPro Loopo Breeze should be easy to handle. It’s a light price, too.

Just the combination to add some extra enjoyment to your summer holidays!

Key selling points? They must be its flamboyant styling, that an inner tent is standard and it is supplied with an extra roof support bar, canopy poles and a zipped storage bag.

Options available include a drive-away kit (£17), the aforementioned electric pump (£50), an inner bedroom (£39), a carpet (£45) and a footprint (£39).
