We’re at that time of year when many ‘van owners are going to be thinking about storing their motorhomes for the winter months. However, this is also the time of year that can lead to damp in our ‘vans – as a result, ensuring we keep our motorhomes aired is an important step. Something else that can also play a part in getting rid of excess moisture in our ‘vans is a good dehumidifier – and if you’re looking for one, I’ve found two excellent deals in the Prime Day sale.

The products I’ve found both feature in our best motorhome dehumidifier guide, but that’s not all – I’ve also spotted deals on refill tabs and a moisture meter that will allow you to detect the levels of moisture in your tourer.

Pro Breeze 1500ml Dehumidifier

Pro Breeze 1500ml Dehumidifier was £59.99 now £47.49

Motorhomers who are after an electric dehumidifier could find this Pro Breeze a tempting prospect. It features a 1500ml tank and can absorb as much as 500ml of moisture each day, with an automatic shut off giving you a warning when it needs emptying. It runs quietly too, thanks to its thermo-electric Peltifer technology, so the 40 watt product shouldn’t disturb you when it’s in use. We also like how portable it is, with a weight of 1.85kg making it easy to move around your motorhome as required. If it’s a smaller option you’re after, a 500ml version is also in the Prime Day sale, reduced from £36.99 to £28.49.

UniBond AERO 360º Moisture Absorber was £12 now £9.59

You may prefer a non-electric option instead, in which case this moisture absorber from Unibond could fit the bill. It has a 450g capacity and requires tabs to operate, with each one lasting for between one to three months, based on the moisture in the air. Thanks to its aerodynamic design, it helps to promote 360-degree air circulation, while the tabs that go in it have moisture-absorbing crystals and should help to prevent bad smells, thanks to its anti-odour agents. It’s also easy to keep an eye on when a new refill is required, thanks to an indicator. Straightforward to use, the product is in the Prime Day sale for only £9.59.

Proster Moisture Meter

Proster Moisture Meter was £30.59 now £22.94

If you do find you’re worried about the levels of moisture in your ‘van, having this gadget to hand can allow you to check the levels whenever you want. It’s pinless, so it shouldn’t mark your walls, and according to the manufacturer, can detect moisture to a depth of 19mm, with a sound alert and lights informing you if any is found. It may not be a replacement for the crucial yearly professional damp check but it’s an accessory that can offer valuable peace of mind or, if necessary, allow you to act as soon as possible if any issues are detected.
