Since its introduction in 2015 to celebrate Amazon’s 20th anniversary, Prime Day has become one of the biggest online shopping events. I’ve been browsing the sale and am highlighting the deals I think you will want to be aware of; the accessories and gadgets that are worth loading a motorhome with, as opposed to those which will remain at home, unused.
To buy anything in the Prime Day sale, you need an active Amazon Prime subscription. However, if you find there’s a particular bargain you don’t want to miss out on, you can always sign up to a 30-day free Amazon Prime trial, which can be cancelled at any point within the 30-day period. Otherwise, membership costs £8.99 a month or £95 for a 12-month subscription.

Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 was £419 now £379
One of our favourite portable power stations, the Explorer 1000 v2 has a capacity of 1070Wh, an output of 1500W and a surge peak of 3000W. It’s only 10.8kg, with a handle making it simpler to move around, and we like the good selection of ports it comes with, which include a USB-A, two USB-C, one DC, and two Pure Sine Wave AC sockets. We like how it’s also available with a 100W solar panel, which is reduced by 22% to £521 in the Prime Day sale.
EcoFlow Delta 3 Max was £1,199 now £759 (save 37%)
Providing a capacity of 2048Wh, the Delta 3 Max is currently available with a 37% discount and is the cheapest we’ve seen it on Amazon. It has nine outputs, which include four AC sockets (2400W total, Surge 4800W), three USB-Cs, one USB-A and a 12V DC. While it’s a weighty option at 20.3kg, we’ve found it’s actually lighter than other options on the market with similar capacities.
Renogy 500A Battery Monitor was £59.99 now £49.99 (save 17%)
Suitable for use with a number of types of battery, including both lead acid and lithium-ion, this Renogy gadget can be used to help you keep it maintained. It measures currents of up to 500 amps and displays information on a clear LCD display, so you can check the battery’s capacity, the consumer power, the voltage and the current all in real time.
TomTom Go Camper Max was £299 now £254 (save 15%)
If you’re in need of a new sat nav for your ‘van, the Go Camper Max could be worth a look. It’s loaded with features to help you have an enjoyable experience on the road, including custom routing and preloaded POIs. Usefully, it also offers warnings of Low Emission Zones, with information shared on a clear seven-inch screen. We have seen it cheaper in previous sales, where it’s dropped to £234.99, but it is a gadget that we consider to be one of the best motorhome sat navs.

Warmco Portable Handheld Fan 5000mAh was £29.98 now £23.71 (save 21%)
We like the look of this handheld fan. It comes with a 5000mAh battery and only weighs 0.17kg, giving you an incredibly portable way of staying cool when you’re out and about during the heat. It will run for between six and 18 hours of use, and can be set from between 1 and 100 to help you get to cool down. Helpfully, it comes with a lanyard too, so it can be worn around your neck if so desired.
Spopal Portable Shower was £28.49 now £22.99 (save 19%)
A portable shower could come in handy for muddy dogs, dirty boots, or as an outdoor shower during the warmer weather. Simply fill a foldable bucket or similar with the water at the temperature you want the shower to be at (it doesn’t have a heating facility), add the pump, and then let it get to work. A full charge should last for up to two hours, and it’s currently available with a 19% saving.
Helinox Chair One was £89.95 now £69.95 (save 22%)
Weighing an incredibly lightweight 0.89kg, this Helinox camping chair can be packed down to fit into a carry case which the manufacturer describes as weighing “less than a bottle of wine”. Despite this, the chair can take a weight of up to 145kg, and is made from a durable 600-weave rip-stop polyester which is not only UV-resistant but also machine washable.
Sunmer Padded Camping Chairs was £49.99 now £42.49 (save 15%)
If you’re after a set of two camping chairs instead, these Sunmer options could fit the bill. Weighing only 3.3kg each, they can each take a weight of up to 120kg. They feature a high-density foam-filled seat and backrest to improve the comfort they offer, and usefully, include both a cup pocket holder and a magazine side pocket. They’re currently reduced by 16% in the Prime Day sale, bringing them down to £41.99.
Crocs was £49.99 now £29.99 (save 40%)
Crocs may just be the underrated hero of touring life. Easy to slide on if you have to pop out of your ‘van, they are waterproof, virtually indestructible and very lightweight – what’s not to like? At the moment, a 40% saving can be enjoyed on a variety of colours and sizes during the Prime Day sale.
Portable camping table was £19.99 now £15.99 (save 20%)
If you’ve been after somewhere to rest your drinks when you’re relaxing on your pitch, this smart aluminium table could fit the bill. Available with a 20% discount at the moment, it only weighs 850 grams, yet the tabletop is 40 x 35cm.
Coleman Xtreme 100QT was £159.59 now £129 (save 19%)
Coming with advanced PU foam insulation, this Coleman should be able to keep food and drink cold for up to five days after filling it with ice. With wheels and a handle for easy transportation, it features a 94 litre capacity and can take a weight of up to 113kg. We also like how its lid can be used as a seat.

Weber Go-Anywhere Gas Barbecue Grill was £168.51 now £137.46
Easy to transport, thanks to a sturdy handle, and with folding legs that lock the lid in place, this Weber gas grill comes with some useful features, including push-button ignition, a triple-plated cooking grate, and an instant heat up gas stove. It uses propane and butane canisters and has a cooking area of 42 x 26cm.
Campingaz PartyGrill 200 was £64.97 now £49.99
A good choice for couples who want a simple meal when they’re pitched up, this Campingaz is easy to ignite, thanks to its Piezo ignition, and has an aluminium plate to achieve a consistent heat distribution. Relying on gas cartridges, it’s currently reduced by 23% to make it only £49.99.
Tefal Easy Fry was £79.99 now £47.48 (save 41%)
With a good five-litre capacity, this 1500W air fryer could be a good choice for families to consider, so long as you have the work space. We like how it has 10 auto cooking programs, including for chicken and fries, and also includes a non-stick air frying basket which is dishwasher-safe for an end of tour clean. It’s currently available with a 41% discount during the Prime Day sale.
Daewoo 2L Compact Manuał Air Fryer was £34.99 now £23.99 (save 31%)
While not in the Prime Day sale, a good 31% saving can still currently be enjoyed on this Daewoo. It’s more suited to those with limited space in their ‘vans, and has a two litre capacity. While it is manual, instead of digital, it still has a 30-minute timer and can reach temperature ranges of 80-200°C.

Beldray Collapsible Dish Drainer was £11.99 now £7.99
After cooking, you’re always going to need to clear up! We really like the practicality that collapsible accessories add to the touring lifestyle – fold out in seconds when needed, then fold away in seconds when no longer needed. This draining board from Beldray is the perfect example. With it, you can wash up, with the holes allowing excess water to drain away, and it can then be folded up for storage until your next meal. It even comes with a useful crockery holder.

Microfibre beach towel was £11.99 now £9.68 (save 19%)
Whether it’s for using after a shower or for a trip to the beach, a towel is undoubtedly a touring essential. We like the look of these microfibre towels, which are currently reduced by 19%. Taking up less space than a regular towel, these cheerfully coloured microfibre options are a good size, at 180 x 90cm, and come in a handy storage bag.

Nine piece cooking utensil set was £23.99 now £13.43 (save 44%)
Save 44% on this nine-piece cooking utensil set, which should come with all you need to enjoy rustling up some on tour feasts this summer. It includes a knife, tongs, scissors, a spatula, a peeler, a cutting board, a spoon and cleaning cloths, with the utensils all made of stainless steel. Then, when you’re done, you can store everything neatly away in the waterproof carry case, giving you a practical storage solution.
Dirtbusters Caravan Cleaner was £17.99 now £14.99 (save 17%)
If you’re looking to replenish your motorhome cleaning supplies soon, this Dirtbusters cleaner could be well worth a look. Suitable for use on a variety of surfaces, it contains Carnauba wax, which should help to achieve a smart finish and also forms a barrier on the paintwork to help to protect it and repel water.
Kärcher Window Vac was £79.99 now £41.99
When it comes to cleaning your windows, something you will want to avoid is streaks, which is where this Karcher comes in. Coming with two suction nozzles to provide ‘van owners with some useful versatility (280mm for larger areas and 170mm for narrower sections), the handy gadget comes with a straightforward-to-empty dirty water tank and also features a spray bottle, a microfiber cloth, and 20 ml of Kärcher window cleaner concentrate. Over the Prime Day sale, it is reduced to only £41.99.
