As well as two comprehensive new ‘van tests, we’ve got some 2015 resolutions for you to get your teeth into and much more. We kick off this episode with a Knaus Sun TI 650 MF review, with Practical Motorhome’s Editor Niall Hampton. This ‘van is from the upper end of the maker’s low profile range, featuring a double floor for storage, massive sunroofs and yacht like interiors. The combination of ambient and natural lighting inside, plus the high quality fittings and finish make this ‘van a very comfortable place to be. Niall discovers some cool design touches, plus a UK friendly separate grill and oven, and the washroom is larger than you might first think. This four-berth costs £62,395 OTR – watch our show for the full test.
Then it’s time to join us on tour. We’re off to Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding area with Practical Motorhome’s Clare Kelly. She’s driven north in an Auto-Sleeper Wave HL, a ‘van based on the Mercedes-Benz Vito, and pitched it at Forget Me Not Country Park. Find out what she gets up to in our latest TV show on The Motorhome Channel, broadcast online and on Sky 192 and Freesat 402 – look out for Showcase 2.
Now, what resolutions have you made for 2015? Tune in to our TV show and join Andy Harris as he carries out some essential, pre season checks on his motorhome. He runs through a few ideas and possible resolutions you might like to think about adopting to make your 2015 touring better than ever. He’s up on the roof, in the cupboards and more – find out why in our latest TV show.
Then, Andy meets Vic Avery, a founding member and the current President of The Hymer Club International, open to owners of all Hymer motorhomes. At 85 years old, Vic is still a committed and frequent motorcaravanner, and surely an inspiration to many.
Next, Niall’s back with the campervan of the future – the Dalbury E from Hillside Leisure, based on the Nissan e-NV200. It is the world’s first electrically powered production campervan. Niall’s behind the wheel for a zero emissions journey, in this quiet, easy to drive ‘van that has good ride quality and acceleration. Back on site and in the camper, he finds the roof is easy to raise and the rock and roll double bed is simple to set up, plus there’s a neat, concealed hob. Tune in and see this ground-breaking ‘van for yourself.
