A collaboration between Vantage Motorhomes and Motion R Design has resulted in the Motion R campervan.

Coming on a Ford Transit Custom base, the small campervan is only 4.97m, making it well suited to everyday use. The best campervans come with a spec to make touring easier and more enjoyable, and that’s the case here – take the Reimo Rock and Roll V3000 seating and bedding system, which not only converts into a double bed with ease but also provides a multi position seating unit to give additional storage.

There’s also a pop-top double bed, accessible via a ladder, while other features include Webasto diesel heating and an inbuilt solar panel. The collaboration also sees options that include a full carbon fibre exterior enhancement kit and monoblock alloy wheels, while the cabin area comes with either full or half Nappa, carbon fibre multimedia steering controls, a perforated leather steering wheel and more.

It is hoped that the collaboration will appeal to a new market, in particular to those who want a certain design aesthetic.

The campervan converter is displaying the ‘van at its factory facility in Leeds, while it can also be seen at the Motion R showroom in Chorley and Lancashire. Vantage will also be exhibiting it at the upcoming Caravan, Camping & Motorhome – don’t miss our discount code for tickets to the February NEC Show if you’re planning to go.

Michael Hardicker, Managing Director of Vantage Motorhomes, says, “We’re very excited about this collaboration. The team at Motion R has decades of experience in the automotive industry and are passionate about design, taking a standard vehicle and designing styling packages to create something that is not only functional, but also beautiful to look at. At Vantage we have enhanced the conversion and our internal habitation design from our current range of campervans to include other features and styling comparable to the external upgrades from Motion R.”

Another ‘van set to make its NEC debut this February is the Freedom 4X from Project Yonder, a 4×4 Mercedes Sprinter-based campervan that is ideal for off-grid excursions.
