We’ve a packed programme for you in our latest TV show on The Motorhome Channel – and it starts in style with Practical Motorhome’s Claudia Dowell, at a campsite near Nantes, in France. She takes us round Nantes Camping where all the 84 pitches have electricity and water hook-ups, and shows us the park’s reception, restaurant, wash blocks, public transport links, mini golf and much more. There’s even an on-site aire, perfect if you want to stay for just one night. She also checks out nearby Camping la Pindière, which is about a 30-minute drive from the centre of Nantes.

Then it’s time to put the kettle on and enjoy a cup of your favourite hot beverage with Practical Motorhome’s Editor Niall Hampton. He is putting five travel mugs to the test – tune in to see what features to look out for when you’re next updating your touring kit.
Next, we’re jargon busting with motorhome expert John Wickersham. From battery sharing chargers to adhesive sealant and much more, John’s here to help you get behind the jargon, perfect for beginner and experienced motorcaravanners alike. Make sure you tune in to The Motorhome Channel on Sky 192, Freesat 402 and online to get the knowledge!
We’ve also got a new motorhome test for you in this episode of our TV show. Practical Motorhome’s Group Editor Alastair Clements reviews the Sunlight T60, Sunlight’s entry-level ‘van. Based on the 130bhp Fiat Ducato, this two-berth motorhome can be bought for less than £40,000. Basic it may be, but it is well equipped and there are many thoughtful touches. You’ll find a fridge/freezer, a combined oven and grill plus a three-burner hob in the kitchen, as well as an innovative washroom. And when you climb up onto the fixed double bed and you’ll find there’s lots of space. Tune in for the full story.
Then John Wickersham is back, with a ‘van that’s been converted so that people with disabilities can still enjoy motorcaravanning. Many companies across the UK undertake such work and John is at Young Conversions in Milton Keynes, to take a look at one of the firm’s motorhomes. He speaks to Mike Young who designed and built this ‘van which features a remote controlled lift and sliding door, a swivelling driver’s seat, hand controls and more, all designed according to the client’s needs. It’s a truly bespoke product and proof that touring in a motorhome really is for everyone.
Finally, we’ve a second product test, as Niall looks at some handy portable lanterns. From pocket-sized torches to lights you could sit on a table or hang in your awning, from electrically-powered lights to gas- and petrol-fuelled and even remote-controlled lanterns, we’re looking at lamps from leading lights including Vango, Coleman and Outwell.
