We’re off on an epic South Downs tour in the brand-new issue of Practical Motorhome.
Over six days, we made it our mission to discover the best that Britain’s newest National Park has to offer.
We packed our long-term Marquis Majestic 196 and headed south, drinking in gorgeous sea views, the famous Beachy Head, Birling Gap and Seven Sisters, seeing the houses of Jane Austen and Virginia Woolf, and visiting Uppark House, Wolvesey Castle, Winchester Cathedral and much more!
Want more from our National Parks special? Turn to page 40 of our new magazine and join Caroline Mills in her Romahome as she visits Snowdonia.
From picture-perfect Portmeirion to Llandudno, she enjoys the scenery, history and much more in this well-established National Park.

First, Peter Baber takes a look at the Mercedes-Benz Vito-based Devon Vitesse. This classy four-berth is only 5.14m long and has a trick up its sleeve – or should that be in its roof? Remote control LED striplighting gives a choice of colours to match your mood!
Then, Nick Harding casts his expert eye over another compact ’van, the Wellhouse Leisure Terrier Lux-XL. Impressively, this Ford Transit Custom-based two-berth is 5.34m long but still provides a 2.01m-long double bed.
And we are one of the very first to get behind the wheel of the new Fiat Ducato 4×4 – read more on page 81.
