TRIBUTE IS AUTO-TRAIL’S range of affordable motorhomes, which have been a real success for the Grimsby-based manufacturer since launching in 2010. They compete head-on with the likes of Escape by Swift Group and Autoquest by Elddis; like their rivals, Tribute motorhomes are ideal starter ’vans for couples new to the pastime, or for families looking for flexible and affordable touring accommodation.
There are seven models in the range – two van conversions and five coachbuilts, most available as low- and high-lines. The big news for 2015 is the adoption of the Fiat Ducato as the base vehicle for the coachbuilt models; previously, these were available only on the fourth-generation Ford Transit. Buyers looking for a motorhome based on the Transit will now have to turn to the Roller Team Zefiro, part of the Auto-Trail stable, or to fellow Trigano Group manufacturer Chausson, virtually all of whose 2015 offerings are available on both Fiat and Ford.
Tribute’s five coachbuilts and two panel van conversions are all based on the sixth-generation Fiat Ducato, which offers significant benefits over the previous version. Sharper-looking cab exteriors and better-equipped interiors are two of the most noticeable improvements, but many others have been made under the surface, too.
New exterior look
Tribute layouts remain unchanged for 2015, but all models benefit from new body graphics, an electric entrance door step, new locker doors fitted with positive catches, new soft furnishings and lights and – thanks to the new base vehicle – a wider 7ft 1in bodyshell.
The parallel-lounge 615 will retail for £38,995 OTR, the 620 costs £39,821 OTR and the end-lounge overcab 625 is £38,995 OTR. The rear fixed bed, corner washroom 715 is priced at £41,171 OTR and the six-berth 720 will cost £41,995 OTR.
Van conversion models
Van conversions gain new-look lockers and worktops, soft-close drawers, an upgraded oven/grill, a control panel and Truma heating, plus revised soft furnishings. The end-lounge 670 model also gains a large sliding nearside window.
The prices for van conversions start at £36,921 OTR, for the 669 – the 670 will cost £37,694 OTR.
Available upgrades
The Drivers Pack adds a slew of attractive extras to these Tribute motorhomes, including cab air-con, cruise control, a multi-function steering wheel, a passenger airbag, ESC with hill hold and Traction Plus including hill descent. Valued at £2286, the pack will be available for £999.
Other optional Tribute extras include a 148bhp engine upgrade (£900), a 177bhp engine upgrade (£2820), Fiat’s ComfortMatic transmission (£1560) and a Witter detachable towbar (£795). The 715 can also be specified with a half dinette in lieu of the parallel lounge seating for £825.
