The National Caravan Council (NCC) has released a guide to help motorcaravanners with the driving and loading of their vehicles.

Designed to help both newcomers and seasoned hands, the guide factors in the various types of ‘van, including coachbuilts, low profiles, campervans and A-class models.

It covers a variety of topics, including why avoiding the overloading of axles is significant, speed limits, loading considerations (take a look at our guide on how to load a motorhome too), security options and more.

There is also a section that will help owners work out whether they have the right driving licence for their vehicle, and whether or not they need to take a Category C1 test.

The guide from the National Caravan Council also offers important tips for owners to follow, prior to heading off on a trip, including tyre checks, ensuring road lights are working before departure, and more.

It can be obtained for free at the February NEC Show this week (21-26 February) by visiting the TowCheck stand 2004. It is also available as a PDF guide.
