Italian manufacturer Laika has updated its “entry level” Kosmo range for the 2024 season, and added a new model to the upmarket Kreos range.
The new models from the motorhome brand have been designed in collaboration with Italian design studio GFG Style, and feature a single block GRP roof with a skylight, monochrome decals on the outside and 34mm-thick walls with an aluminium outer shell that are insulated with high density (33g/cu m) Styrofoam XPS. Floors are made of 41mm-thick plywood.
The front honeycomb grille is borrowed from the Kreos range, while side mirrors are now adorned with the Italian flag.
Interiors are in forest green and stone grey, with Fenix worktops finished in green essence. All models come with Truma Combi 6 heating, controlled, along with the LED lighting, on a panel above the door.
To keep them in line with the rest of the Laika line up, the three low-profile motorhomes in the range are labelled “L”, while A-class models get an “H” prefix.
The new model in the Kreos range, the H 5109, features a front lounge with an L-shaped dinette and two fixed single beds at the back behind a washroom that spreads across the van. Alde heated, the motorhome also features an oven and a double head shower as standard, as well as a 153-litre fridge. Since launching, the Kreos H 5109 has passed the industry’s standard EN 1646-1 test for insulation.
Laika is not the only brand to be releasing its 2024 news. Adria is launching three new models based on a MAN chassis, as well as its Active Duo ‘van, while Le Voyageur is replacing the Classic with the new Eterna range. Dreamer is also adding two special editions, while Carthago is launching just a single model too.
