Knaus heads into the 2025 season with a new compact model based on a Mercedes Sprinter, while budget brand Weinsberg is also releasing the off-road X-Pedition 600 MQ Study (pictured above).
Both Knaus and Weinsberg feature in our guide to the best motorhome manufacturers and have been category winners in the past at the Practical Motorhome Awards.
For the 2025 season, the four-wheel drive Cascan 690 LE from Knaus includes a washroom with as standard a new waterless Cleanflex toilet system developed by the company. This uses weldable and hygienic odour-proof films that can be disposed of with domestic refuse.
The new toilet system will also be available as an option on all 2025 Knaus models that do not feature bench toilets.
There’s a new off-road vehicle in Knaus’s budget Weinsberg range too. The X-Pedition 600 MQ Study is also based on a Sprinter, and comes with rear-wheel drive as standard and all-wheel drive as an option. You also get all-terrain tyres, while on the inside vertical wall panelling strips are designed to provide more noise insulation. The table can be used inside or out, and the backrest on the rear bed can be folded to turn the bed into a couch. This van also comes with the Cleanflex toilet system.
Knaus and Weinsberg are not the only brands to be releasing information about their new season releases, with Adria announcing it will be launching its first ever VW ‘van.
