David Acland and Lila Thomas from FRP Advisory were appointed joint administrators yesterday (16 July).
The company said it had been experiencing severe cashflow issues in recent months following challenging trading conditions.
All production, including 2020 models, has been suspended, and most of the 142 staff have been laid off.
But the administrators say they are working with management and the remaining employees to look at selling the business and its assets.
In a statement, they said “Lunar Caravans is a renowned manufacturer of lightweight caravans and over the past 50 years has established a reputation for innovative designs and cost-effective models. The UK staycation market remains strong and our focus now is on seeking a buyer.”
