A new model being shown at this week’s Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC features an unusual table arrangement with a very domestic-looking interior and interesting layout.

The Freedo RV 599 is the latest model from Affinity RV, a Polish converter owned by Sweden’s KABE, which also owns Coachman in the UK. It already has 12 dealers in the UK.

Based on a Fiat Ducato, one of the best vans to convert to a camper, the 5.99m-long campervan features a rear U-shaped lounge that, if anything, looks more like a contemporary kitchen than a campervan, with much use of real wood furniture painted white, and a floral pattern on the base cushions and backrests.

But unusually the innovative motorhome has a table can be collapsed and hidden completely within the floor. It plays no part in making up the sizeable bed, which instead folds over from behind the driver side backrest and makes this a good option for couples.

If you would rather stick with singles, the two side settees make long single beds, with the one on the passenger side stretching to 1.96m. The central section of the “U” in the lounge can also be turned upside down to become a coffee table.

A side washroom with a fold-out basin and brick pattern lining completes the set up.

The cab can be completely shut away from the rest of the interior with a sliding door. The Freedo RV 599 has a starting price of £57,734 OTR.
