Auto-Sleepers has launched a campervan it says is designed just as much for day-to-day use as for touring.

Based on the Ford Transit Custom, the Auto-Sleeper Air comes with a Reimo rock and roll bench in the rear which can seat three people when travelling, or alternatively has two separate Isofix child seat fixtures.

The cab seat swivels to create a lounge for five, while the SCA forward rising roof means the van can sleep four.

It has diesel-powered Webasto heating, an integrated fridge, a two-burner hob and separate grill, fresh and waste water tanks, and external BBQ and cold water shower points. It also has more unusual extras such as a wireless charging point, USB ports and a beer bottle opener.

You also get intelligent adaptive cruise control, and metallic paint and power fold mirrors on the outside.

As the van is based on a 3200kg chassis, you don’t need any special licence to drive it.

Auto-Sleepers’ sales and marketing director Dave Williams said, “Auto-Sleeper van conversions are renowned for delivering class leading luxury models with enviable residual values in the industry. This stunning new camper is no different.”
