Gifts for motorhome owners who have everything

Seashell Robe 3.0
This is an ideal present for the motorhome owner who loves touring all year round. It has a 100% waterproof and windproof outer shell layer, as well as a Sherpa fleece lining. This makes it a great choice whether it’s a rainy day, you’re heading to the beach or just fancying a walk. The robe also comes with a fleece-lined hood and internal zip pockets, while it gives you room to wear plenty of layers beneath. Available in three different colours, it’s easy to freshen up too, as it’s machine washable at 30°C.

Pure Woodland Glow
If you’re buying for someone who has often remarked on how much they like relaxing in their ‘van, this could be the two-in-one gadget that makes the ideal motorhome gift for them. The rechargeable device can not only be used as a 360-degree Bluetooth speaker, allowing them to listen to their favourite music, but is also a dimmable lantern, letting them create the perfect ambience in their ‘van at the same time. We like how it comes with a waterproof case too, while its handle should make transporting it around straightforward. Impressively, the battery should provide up to 14 hours of playtime.

UNO
This highly addictive game can be a great addition to a tour, providing plenty of entertainment for all ages. Suitable for up to 10 players, it’s a fun game to stash in a backpack if you’re exploring off-site for the day or for passing an evening – just try not to get too competitive as you play…

LEGO Volkswagen T2 Campingbus
This adult LEGO set may be retired from the online Lego store but we’ve found it on Amazon and think it would make a great gift for ‘van fans out there. With 2,207 pieces, it’s not for the faint-hearted, but it will let you recreate the iconic Volkswagen T2. The ‘van comes packed full of features that any campervan owner will love, including a sliding side door and eye-catching decals – there’s even a kitchen, with a spec that includes a sink, fridge and stove. Then, for the final touch, it comes with a pop-up fabric roof. Eye-catching and sure to offer a bit of nostalgia, this should certainly keep the recipient occupied for a while!

Celestron SkyMaster
If you’re buying for someone who loves spotting wildlife and spending time in the great outdoors when they’re on tour, these binoculars could be a great way to enhance their experience. They have a 25x magnification, while the 70mm objective lenses enhance the maximum image brightness when dealing with low-light conditions. A large central dial allows you to quickly focus too, while its protective rubber exterior makes it easy to grip.

Mud Daddy Portable Pet Washer
This five-litre portable washer could be the ideal gift for a motorhome owner who tours with a canine companion, providing a straightforward way to rinse off any muddy paws and help to keep muck in their ‘van to a minimum. We particularly like that it doesn’t require any electricity to create the water pressure, instead relying on a pump. It’s also got the added benefit of being suitable for use on muddy boots.

BRISA Volkswagen Portable Bluetooth Speaker
Adding the distinctive flair of the Volkswagen T1 Bus to an audio experience, this stylish Bluetooth speaker is available in both blue and red. Only taking three hours to charge, the officially licensed Volkswagen campervan will flash its LED lights when looking for a Bluetooth connection. The manufacturer advises it’s able to operate for up to five hours from a full charge. Plus, there’s no getting away from how smart the speakers look too.

Revell 07674 VW T1 Camper
If someone has always harboured dreams of building their own campervan, this could be the ideal gift. The detailed kit is designed for advanced model builders, with both glueing and painting required to create the final article. It’s a chance to get creative and the finished result wouldn’t look out of place on a home office desk or as an ornament on a bookcase.

Jackery Explorer 200 Plus V2
We think this makes an ideal gift for motorhomers who like going off-grid or who are thrifty campers who intend to stay at non-electric hook-up sites, with the portable power station providing a way of keeping their devices topped up. It can power up to five gadgets simultaneously, including through 100W PD fast USB-C charging, and has some useful versatility thanks to its one-hour fast charging or two-hour AC wall charging when the Jackery itself needs recharging. It provides a capacity of 256Wh and an output of 300W, while its handle will make it straightforward to manoeuvre its 3.5kg weight around.

Motorhome Mug Set
If you’re buying something small for a couple who love getting out in their ‘van, this eye-catching pair of mugs could make a thoughtful gift. They can be put in the microwave and used in the dishwasher too, with the cheerful pattern appearing on both sides. They’re also both designed and printed in the UK as well.

BRISA Volkswagen Salt & Pepper Set
Add some VW style to your mealtimes with this salt and pepper set. They’re made from corrosion-resistant ceramic, with openings to be found on the roof. To ensure there are never any issues with telling them apart, one is labelled ‘SaltBus’ and the other ‘PepperBus’. There are three different colours available, red and white, blue and white, and black and white. I personally like the red and white set, and think they look smart enough to display as ornaments!

Baked Bean SAFECAN
Not many people would expect to unwrap a can of Baked Beans on Christmas Day, but this useful present is actually a handy place for storing valuables. A secret compartment can be found in the base, which provides an ideal spot for hiding money or similar. It’s a genuine replica licensed can, and it can then be hidden away in the kitchen cupboard of a ‘van, where it wouldn’t attract attention.

Useful gifts for motorhomers

Dometic PerfectCoffee MC 052 Five Cup Coffee Maker
If you’re buying a gift for a caffeine lover, this 12V coffee maker from Dometic could be worth considering. Capable of brewing up to five cups, we like how it features a warming plate to keep the coffee hot. That’s not its only useful feature though – we’re fans of how it has been designed to deal with the rigours of life on the road, with a securing plate for the glass coffee maker, while there’s also the option of mounting it onto a motorhome work surface with the supplied fixing kit.

Omnia Stovetop Oven
The Omnia Stovetop Oven is a great alternative for a motorhome kitchen which doesn’t come with an oven. This is because it can be used on the stove, providing an alternative that lets you both bake and cook. We like how it’s suitable for use on all heat sources with the exception of induction hobs, and is very lightweight at only 500g. Usefully, there are various add-ons that can be bought to accompany it, giving you plenty of gift ideas if you find you’re struggling for inspiration down the line.

iBeani Quishion
Anyone who has a smaller ‘van will appreciate accessories that are multi-functioning and space-saving, and that’s certainly two boxes that the iBeani Quishion ticks. It can be transformed from a cushion (45 x 45cm) into a quilted blanket (190 x 140 cm) in seconds. For added ease, it’s also machine washable, so you can quickly freshen it up at the end of a tour.

Echo Auto (2nd gen)
We think this small gadget is a great gift idea for a motorhome owner who does not have a voice assistant in their ‘van. It brings Alexa into the ‘van’s cabin, giving the recipient the freedom to listen to their favourite on-the-road playlist, make phone calls, and more. We like how it comes with five built-in microphones too, ensuring it will be no problem to be heard over any background noise either.

WACACO Nanopresso
I’m sure I’m not alone in loving some caffeine throughout the day. If you’re buying for a motorhome owner who is as much of a coffee addict as me, this WACACO Nanopresso could be their favourite gift of the year. Unlike the Dometic option, it doesn’t require electricity or a battery – instead, it’s manually operated. You just need ground coffee and hot water and you’ll then be able to enjoy a nice espresso, complete with a cream layer. There are numerous accessories you can buy to accompany it too, providing further gifting inspiration for down the line.

Tower T17021
An air fryer is a common sight in a domestic kitchen nowadays and can be a great addition to a motorhome which has limited cooking facilities. This option, which is one that Practical Motorhome’s editor, Sarah, has in her ‘van, is a good sized choice and she’s reported that it’s straightforward to use too. It’s 1500W, so you will need to make sure it can be powered on tour, but is easy to use for rustling up meals on the go, with Sarah reporting it has plenty of room for cooking for two.

Anker 325 Portable Charger
One of the best parts of being on tour is exploring the surrounding area. If you know someone who regularly sets off from the campsite for the day, a portable charger could be the perfect Christmas present, allowing them to top up their phone as they go. The Anker 325 comes with a 20,000mAh capacity and, as it comes with both USB-C and USB-A ports, it’s able to charge two devices simultaneously. It should be able to top up an iPhone up to 4.3 times and as it’s only 467g, can be unobtrusively stored as well.
Motorhome gifts for children

Peppa Pig Wooden Campervan
Fans of Peppa Pig are bound to love this adorable wooden set. The ‘van, which comes with two removable seats and a Daddy Pig figure, can be pushed along too. It’s an ideal present for letting the imagination run wild and recreating on tour life, with the roof of the ‘van able to double up as a picnic table, while there’s a pull-out awning which can be changed into a picnic blanket too.

Barbie 3-in-1 Dream Camper
A motorhome that includes a truck, a boat and a house may sound like a fantasy, but it’s a reality with the Barbie 3-in-1 Dream Camper. The perfect gift for Barbie fans, it comes with 60 accessories and has a whole host of areas, including a lounge, a washroom, a rooftop bedroom, a kitchen and even a pool! The coffee table can be flipped to reveal a fire pit and a loft bed can be found by popping the roof.

PLAYMOBIL 70176 Volkswagen T1 Camping Bus
Do you want to give a younger motorhomer the chance to recreate a VW but think the LEGO set is too advanced? Then this PLAYMOBIL set, which can be assembled to create the iconic Volkswagen T1, could be the answer. As well as coming with two figures, the ‘van itself has side doors and a rear bonnet that opens, a removable roof, a luggage rack, a folding rear seat and table, plus a range of accessories that will allow you to kit the ‘van out and recreate those on-tour memories. It’s an officially licensed Volkswagen product too.
