Fancy A-class style with the convenience of a low-profile? Try the compact Mobilvetta Kea P67, one of three new ’vans for 2018 imported by Marquis Leisure
But there is a reason for this height: the range retains the double floor from the K-Yachts.
Along with better insulation, this also gives you a handy place to store bulky items, particularly in the external skirting locker.
The door is on the Continental side, so cassette-toilet access is more or less alongside.
But you do also get an external shower, a multifunction socket and alloy wheels, while inside, along with a Truma Combi 6 boiler, Kea Ps include underfloor heating.
On the road
You don’t get cab blinds in the Mobilvetta Kea P67, just two curtains that can be buttoned together.
Lounging & dining
There is also a large side sofa in the Kea P67, and the table, with its extension, means there is room for six to dine.
Even with the drop-down bed overhead, plenty of light gets in to the lounge through the sunroof and the large window.
There are seven LEDs in the ceiling and ambient lighting, but only striplights under the lockers.
You’ll find the TV sockets by the door, with a bracket that only comes out a short way, so viewing might be a little obscured by the locker.
There are two further drawers under the cutlery drawer, so no intrusion from the wheel arch, plus there’s also a clever slide-out storage unit.
The single-shelved locker is partly obscured by the fitting for the extractor fan.
A tall, 150-litre Dometic three-way fridge to the left has a small Dometic oven a slight reach above it.
You don’t get a microwave, but you do get a heating vent.
It’s well lit with a huge rooflight, three windows, a striplight and two spotlights – and there’s a socket for a second TV here. This rear transverse double bed measures 7'2" x 4'2".
The electronically operated drop-down bed (which is 6'3" x 3'8") comes down without the need to remove the headrests and doesn’t obscure the door.
We were impressed by the shelves on both sides. With the bed up, you don’t notice they are there, so they are perfect for valuable items.
The rectangular shower is big and well lit, but comes with only one drainage hole.
A large opaque window illuminates the main area, which includes a translucent washbasin, a well-lit mirror and an overhead locker.
There are two unshelved overhead lockers up front and two more over the rear double bed, where you’ll also find four open shelves.
The main wardrobe to the left of the fridge is full height, but the cupboard underneath is almost entirely taken up with the heater.
The wardrobe below the bed is lit, but there’s no access to the garage here.
The garage itself is large, lit and heated, and has its own shelves. And then there’s that external skirting locker, too.

Mobilvetta’s Kea P reproduces many of the K-Yacht’s excellent features (including the double floor and underfloor heating) in a low-profile format, and the interior also feels luxurious.
Some omissions, such as the lack of cab blinds, are a little surprising, but otherwise this is a smart, well-specced model.
