The Kampa Easy In/Easy Out camping chair, which is a snip at just £25, is a budget version of our test winner, with its similar folding mechanism and seat-base support bars.

The rake of the backrest makes this product from Kampa a great chair for just relaxing in, but it’s not as good for sitting at the table. People with lower-back trouble or sciatica may struggle with the acute angle between the torso and the legs. Still, the handbrake-style arms make getting in and out of it easier, and it sits 42cm off the ground.

The 120kg weight limit means that people up to 12 stone 12.5 lbs stone will be able to use the chair safely, which is great. This Kampa chair opens up to  91cm  x 71cm  x 55cm.

It’s nice and light to carry around if you’re using it on the beach during your camping holidays, or just joining friends elsewhere on the campsite for the evening. It won’t take too much room in your motorhome’s locker, either, because the folded size is 87.5cm x 13cm x 20cm. It weighs 4.2kg.

The Kampa Easy In/Easy Out camping chair is designed to be extremely easy to get in and out of, as the name suggests. It opens and folds in seconds. Once up, it’s a comfortable armchair with an extra strong steel frame, with those rigid armrests we’ve already mentioned.

Kampa suggests many uses for this lightweight, stable chair. As well as being great for camping and motorcaravanning holidays, the Kampa chair is good for picnics, festivals, concerts, sporting events and use in the garden. Its four-star rating from our experts proves that it is a good product – and good value, too.
