I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to have access to a bit more power when pitched up, which is where a good portable power station comes in. It can really transform your life on tour, allowing you to charge numerous devices and offering some handy flexibility, particularly when you’re staying off-grid. I’ve had a look at the deals on offer during Amazon Prime Day (10th October – 11th October) and there are some great bargains to be had.

Here, I’m sharing my pick of the best Prime Day portable power station deals I’ve spotted so far, with options to suit all budgets.

This includes the product that was our judging panel’s pick of the best motorhome gadget at last week’s Practical Motorhome Awards 2024, the Bluetti EB3A, which is currently available with a 27% saving on Amazon.

Bluetti EB3A

Bluetti EB3A – £299 now £219

I was part of the judging panel that picked this out as the best motorhome gadget on the market at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2024, and I was impressed by its ease of use. Currently available for only £219 this Amazon Prime Day (a 27% saving), the Bluetti provides good performance and, just as importantly, simplicity. Just plug in your gadget and see the rate it’s charging at – there’s even the option of downloading an app so you can adjust the current and the output voltage.

There’s a good selection of ports too, including a 12V socket, two 12V DCs, two USB-As, one USB-C and a 220-240V AC/600W port, alongside one DC and one AC input port. The wireless charging pad also makes topping up the phone an easy affair.

If you’re looking to charge lower-powered objects like a phone and laptop, I think this makes a great all-rounder and a reasonably priced choice.

  • Weight: 4.6kg
  • Capacity: 268wh
  • Ports: 1 x 12V socket, 2x12V DC sockets, 2 x USB-A ports, 1 x USB-C port, 1 x AC socket
Jackery Explorer 240

Jackery Explorer 240 £259.99, now £155.99

I’ve spotted a huge 40% saving on the Explorer 240 from Jackery, bringing the price down to £155.99. The 200W model is a lightweight option, only coming in at 3kg – over 1.5kg lighter than the Bluetti EB3A, if weight is a factor for you.

It’s a bit of a more entry level option than the Bluetti above – for instance, you get less ports, as it only provides you one AC outlet (230V, 200W, 400W peak), two USB-A ports and one DC car port, so if you’re after a USB-C option, the Bluetti could be a better bet. The AC port can power and charge products that operate at less than 200W.

I’d recommend this one more if you’re after a budget-friendly, compact product for when you’re on the road, especially ideal if have a small ‘van and need to watch the payload.

  • Capacity: 240Wh

Anker 535
Image: Amazon

Anker 535 – £599.99, now £369

There’s a great 38% saving to be had on this Anker portable power station, bringing the price down to £369. It comes with seven ports – two AC ports, three USB-A ports, one USB-C port and a car outlet too, providing a wide-range of freedom when you’re on the road. Its AC socket can power devices of less than 500W, although it can’t be used with products with an input of over 200W.

While it’s only suitable for delivery in England, Scotland and Wales, the gadget is able to restore 80% of your charge within 2.5 hours, and there’s also an option of switching to power saving mode to achieve more stable charging experience. I also like the light bar it comes with, essentially doubling up as a light as dusk draws in and the evening takes over.

  • Weight: 9.7kg
  • Capacity: 512wh
  • Ports: 2 x AC sockets, 3 x USB-A ports, 1 x USB-C ports, 1 x car outlet

EcoFlow DELTA 2
Image: Amazon

EcoFlow DELTA 2 – £1,099, now £699

I’m impressed by the £400 saving on the DELTA 2 this Prime Day – it’s ideal for off-gridding, coming with an 1800W output. There’s also a selection of 13 sockets, including four AC sockets and two USB-C sockets. Its capacity is 1kWh, but if that’s not enough, there’s even the option of getting additional batteries to get you to 3kWh.

This may be more than you think you’ll need, but if you’re touring as a family, like your gadgets or simply want to have the option of having that many ports (just in case), this is worth considering.

While it’s the heaviest of my recommendations (it comes in at 12kg, four times the weight of the Jackery), for the sheer power it provides, it’s a bargain.

  • Weight: 12kg
  • Capacity: 1024Wh
  • Ports: 4 x AC sockets; 2 x USB-A fast charge sockets; 2 x USB-A sockets; 2 x USB-C sockets; 2 x DC sockets
