Producing an award-winning motorhome isn’t easy – but that’s just what Bailey of Bristol has done with its Advance 66-2, winner of Practical Motorhome’s prestigious Motorhome of the
Year trophy for 2019.

One of nine layouts in the Advance range, the two-berth, 6.6-metre 66-2 may be compact, but it packs a punch in terms of both comfort and practicality.

It’s a true four-season ‘van, too: the 4E Truma Combi heating combines with the impressive thermal characteristics of the Alu-Tech body shell – borne from Bailey’s 70 years of experience in construction – to create a motorhome that’s perfect for touring year-round.

So much space

Step inside the 66-2 and you’ll be amazed at the amount of kit on board – from the 95-litre fridge to the separate shower cubicle, and the plush sofas up front, there’s absolutely everything here for two to tour in luxury. When it’s made up, the front double bed measures a whopping 6’10” x 6’1”, too.

That luxurious feel extends to the Peugeot Boxer cab, which includes a DAB radio, air-con and cruise control. That cab is paired to a low-line lightweight AL-KO chassis for great road handling – and, as the 66-2 has an MTPLM
of just 3500kg, anyone with a standard licence can drive it.

The price is right

What’s more, with a whopping 800kg payload to play with, you can take everything you need
with you. And the Advance 66-2
is hugely affordable – it has an
on-the-road price of £46,499.

With all that, it’s no surprise
that the Bailey Advance 66-2
has proved to be a real winner.
