The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show has been cancelled for 2022, with plans to return in 2023.
New event, Go Explore, which was due to take place at Farnborough International in March 2022, will be postponed to 2023.
The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show, which is the biggest of its kind in Scotland was set to take place between 3-6 of February at Glasgow’s SEC.
However, the organisers, QD Events, have made the decision not to proceed with the events and plan to bring back the shows in 2023.
Darren Brechin, Group Show Director of QD’s Caravan event portfolio, explained: “This was an incredibly difficult decision to make, particularly given the huge boom in the market and the fact that touring holidays and staycations are more popular than ever. The fact is that this increase in demand, combined with supply chain issues, has led to a lack of inventory for dealers and manufacturers. The visitor and exhibitor experience at our shows is the most important thing to us, and the reason why we have been Scotland’s favourite event for so long. As such, we would not want to deliver a show that falls short of excellent, and with the current market challenges, we simply would have been unable to deliver the visitor experience that people have come to expect and love over the decades. We are committed to delivering Scotland’s biggest and best ever Caravan Show when we return in 2023, and to launching Go Explore.”
Ticket holders will be contacted directly by email.
