If the prospect of owning your own campsite has always appealed to you, this could be your chance, as the 7.5 acres Kinloch Campsite has been put up for sale, with the current owners looking for offers of over £1.5million.

The campsite – which is based in the Isle of Skye – overlooks Loch Dunvegan, so stunning views are almost guaranteed. It also faces towards both Dunvegan Castle – the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland – and Gairbh Eilein.

With 470m of loch frontage, Kinloch Campsite has a licence for 120 units. Of these, 80 can be tourers or motorhomes. There are also 59 hardstanding caravan pitches, with another six being installed at the moment.

The site is also well situated, with the popular tourist spot of Dunvegan Village nearby. There are numerous attractions in the area too, ranging from the Fairy Pools and Neist Point to the Coral Beach and the Talisker Distillery.

Holidaymakers will find there’s plenty to keep them occupied, with an abundance of activities available in the area, including hiking, fishing, cycling, wildlife watching and more.

The privately owned Kinloch Campsite is being sold by its current owners, who are retiring. The campsite is being marketed by Colliers.

Richard Moss, Head of UK Park Agency at Colliers, said: “The Kinloch Campsite has an impressive and positive business record. The North West of Scotland is a beautiful place to visit, and it attracts a considerable number of visitors every year. The park is experiencing a strong trade and we expect it will remain strong considering the UK staycation boom of the moment. It is also anticipated more international tourists will return to these green lands when travel is widespread again.”

Moss added: “The Kinloch Campsite is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and a place full of potential where only the Skye’s the limit.”
