Rimor is introducing a new Ford-Transit-based range for the 2020 season, to replace the Europeo range, while the Seal is being slimmed down.
Evo leads the way
The new line-up – two overcabs and four low-profiles – is known as Evo. Innovations include new-look front hoods and edge profiles designed to cover externally exposed screws.
The range includes the sub-7m 77 Plus, a UK-friendly low-profile with a rear U-shaped lounge and a half-dinette. The two overcabs are based on best-selling designs, with the Evo 5 having a rear transverse bed and the Evo Sound having bunk beds in the rear corner by the washroom, and a double dinette up front – so it is capable of sleeping seven.
The other low-profiles include two island-bed models, the 66 Plus and 69 Plus, and one fixed-single-beds ‘van, the 95 Plus. All come with a GRP ceiling, all-LED lighting inside, soft-close cupboards, and an AES slimline fridge. A door flyscreen is an optional extra.
Seal slims down
For 2020, Seal low-profiles continue as family-friendly Plus models: the French-bed 12 Plus; two fixed-single-beds models, the 95 Plus and 98 Plus; the island-bed 68 and 69 Plus; and the relatively new 66 Plus, with an island bed and a parallel sofa up front.
Overcabs include the French-bed Seal 3; two transverse-bed models, the Seal 5 and Seal 8; two with fixed single beds, the Seal 50 and Seal 695; and the Seal 9, with bunk beds in the back and a double-dinette up front.
Improvements include a drop-down bed with a safety catch, GRP ceiling, soft-close cupboards, dimmable LEDs and chrome ladder fittings. A door flyscreen is an option, as are different seat covers.
Other ranges
The Super Brig – three overcabs, three low-profiles – gets minimalist furniture, a kitchen with Dometic’s two-way opening fridge and a three-burner hob, dimmable LEDs, and the 140bhp Euro 6d-TEMP engine as standard.
Finally, the Horus van conversion range now comes with a single-structure floor, 90-litre fridge, pleated blinds and a larger storage area in the cab, and new kitchen and table extensions. The Horus 38 also features an extra cabinet between the two cupboards above the bed.
All Rimor motorhomes, which are imported through Hull dealership Motorhomes and Caravans, now have Isofix seats as an optional extra.
Our pick: Rimor Evo 77 Plus
European manufacturers have been trying to woo the UK market with rear-lounge designs for some time now, some more successfully than others. But this under-7m model with two dinettes looks like a winner.
