The results are in, and Chausson’s Flash 10 has been named Practical Motorhome’s Motorhome of the Year.

The French manufacturer’s offering of the Flash 10 was found to be the most exciting motorhome launched for the new season, as well as winning its Best Budget Buy category.

So what is it that makes this motorhome stand apart from the rest? Modestly priced at well under £40,000, this is a compact, low-profile motorhome with a clever drop-down bed over the front lounge and design based on the reliable Ford Transit.

Practical Motorhome’s Rob Ganley describes it as “utterly remarkable… it is well-appointed, yet with a budget price tag”. He notes that it is “a big-feeling ‘van squeezed into compact dimensions”, suitable for both couples and families.

As the first imported model to win the overall Motorhome of the Year, it has done well to beat off strong competition from Britain’s leading manufacturers.

These awards celebrate the best motorhomes and accessories each year, in association with Whale water and heating specialists based in Northern Ireland who have said that they are “delighted” at the opportunity to sponsor an event.

Sarah Baird, RV Commercial Manager for Whale, said that they are keen to be “rewarding those who have achieved excellence in the caravan and motorhome industry” and they will be continuing to do so for the next two years.
