PLANNING A VISIT to the new Manchester show? Make sure you see all this…

Old show, new venue

The old Manchester show was in a very pretty venue in the centre of Manchester but it was not ideal; too small and too expensive to park were the common complaints. For 2012, the show has moved to EventCity, an all new venue near the Trafford centre. It’s 50% bigger than any previous Manchester show and parking is free too.

Lots of new stuff, all in one place

A great selection of the latest models from all the big manufacturers, including Auto-Trail, Swift, Bailey, Elddis, Adria and Hymer. If you want to get a flavour of what’s hot for 2012 in caravans, this is the place to be.

Four, not on the floor

Fitting bunks into van conversions is tough, but Autocruise has had the tape measure out and fitted them into the all-new Quartet. For more details click here.

Kids go free

Looking for a cheap day out with the kids? Providing they are 16 or under, kids get into the show for free. Adult tickets on the door are £8.50, meaning a family of four can get in for £17.

New Bailey Approach motorhome

Bailey launched its new range of motorcaravans in the autumn, but this new 745 is set to become the immediate best-seller. Based on the exisiting 740 layout with a end-corner washroom and fixed bed, but the difference is at the front. The 745 has two extra belted travel seats.

Expert advice and touring inspiration

The expert talks area is running over all four days of the show and as well as straightforward advice from experienced caravanners, there are inspirational talks from expert travellers, including TV’s Monty Halls.

Dallas star to open the show

If Monty Halls doesn’t get your star radar bleeping, get there early to catch sight of Charlene Tilton. The US TV star who starred in legendary 80s series Dallas will be cutting the ribbon at the start of the show before sizing up a new tourer. Possibly.

Late night opening

Can’t get to the show at the weekend? No problem. The show stays open to 9pm on Friday night so the after work crowd can come in for a browse.
