Welsh converter Kaktus has debuted at the February NEC Show with two models on display, the Dune and the Oasis.

The Dune is a 4×4 based on a MAN TGE. It’s an innovative model from the van conversion company, with additional light and height provided by the roof pod it comes with, which offers three opening hatches.

As well as this, the camper van’s side pods come with windows to give it extra width.

The Dune comes kitted out with a Vitrifrigo 60lt Black Air Lock Fridge, an induction hob, and a slide-out worktop to accompany the main worktop in the kitchen, as well as LED lighting throughout. The memory foam double mattress should provide a comfortable sleeping experience, while other features include Scheel Mann seating, a cassette toilet, a hot and cold tap and a shower.

The other model on the Kaktus stand is the Oasis, another 4×4 based on a MAN TGE. While it comes with a roof pod like the Dune, this model doesn’t have side pods, instead offering side flares to create a feeling of width.

Inside there is a 150ltr Vitifrigo air lock fridge, an electric grill / microwave, a cassette toilet and LED lighting, as well as a hot and cold tap and shower. There is also a choice of an induction or diesel hob in the kitchen.

Both models come with a 4kW diesel heater, two 75W solar panels and two 100 AH lithium batteries.

Visitors to the NEC Show also got to see other ‘vans make their debut, including Vantage Motorhome’s Motion R Campervan, a Ford Transit Custom-based ‘van with a width of 4.97m. Also on display was the Freedom 4X from Project Yonder, a 4×4 Mercedes Sprinter-based model.

Since the Show ended, a 4×4 right hand drive version of the Xtura has been launched by Eura Mobil as well.
