Eye Kettleby Lakes in Melton Mowbray has been crowned the Overall Winner of Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome’s Top 100 Sites Guide 2023.
The guide sees the readers of both titles vote for their favourite campsites, before our expert team look over the results and compile the final 100 to reveal the best motorhome sites in the UK.
As well as claiming the title of Overall Winner, Eye Kettleby Lakes was also the Regional Winner for the Heart of England. The dog-friendly campsite sits in 150 acres of stunning countryside, with excellent facilities and nine coarse fishing lakes on offer. There’s even the option of an adults-only section, if guests want a bit more peace and quiet.
Another notable achievement saw Silver Sands Holiday Park declared the Regional Winner for Cornwall for a second year in a row, The Cornish campsite sits in the Lizard Peninsula and is perfectly positioned for taking in the region’s many delights.
This was a feat that Langstone Manor Holiday Park also achieved in Devon. Set on the south-west of Dartmoor National Park, the beautiful site provides modern facilities and an ideally situated base for exploring both Cornwall and Devon.
Myrus Caravan & Holiday Park was also the Regional Winner of Scotland for a third year in a row. The adults-only motorhome site has both Banff and Macduff nearby, yet offers a peaceful stay that creates the impression of being immersed in nature.
Back of Beyond in Dorset was another Regional Winner – the site, which sits in 30 acres of beautiful countryside, has been picked out as the best in the region for four consecutive years now, with the adults-only site providing a base for getting away from it all.
