The Australian Northern Territory News reports that a dog took his owner’s double-decker motorhome for spin in Darwin recently.
Woodley the two-year old German Koolie reportedly released the handbrake when left alone in the van by owner Richard McCormack, then sat in the driver’s seat with his paws on the shell while the vehicle rolled a few hundred yards.
McCormack said: “He sits next to me when I’m driving and in the driver’s seat when I’m not. The handbrake is on the dashboard and he’s seen me release it many times”.
The motorhome was only brought to a stop by the lightning reactions of sales assistant Phil Newton, who jumped into the motorhome just before it was about to hit a parked car.
