Carthago has focused much of its attention for 2022 on revamping its main chic c-line range.

The range, which has now been in production for nearly 20 years, covers both Fiat-based low profiles and A-classes on both Ducato and Mercedes Benz base vehicles.

For 2022 the range is now available effectively in four different style settings. These include the new linea progressiva style, with matt ivory lockers and gloss ivory locker doors; linea moderna, with more acacia wood surfaces but still some ivory; and linea classica, with more muted wild pair furniture.

For the A-class chic c-line superior models, there is also the linea siena option with summer chestnut furniture.

These superior models also now come with an enhanced front profile with a special radiator grille with both horizontal and vertical bars.

Inside the front lounge has been redesigned to enhance the sense of space. Kitchens have been redesigned to include a bar cabinet and space for an optional oven, while if you go for fixed single beds in the rear you can opt for a slide-out TV cabinet.

Chic c-line XL models are also now available on either Fiat Ducato or Mercedes Sprinter base vehicles with an Al-Ko chassis.

Elsewhere in Carthago, the 2.12m-wide C-Compactline range has had its weight reduced by over 20kg for the 2022 season, to bring the MIRO of all models well below 3000kg to enhance the payload. All C-Tourer models have also been brought down below 3500kg, MTPLM, and with both ranges you can have a vehicle that is 20kg lighter still if you go for the option of having alloy wheels and a lithium battery. The two low-profile C-Tourer models – the T145 DB H and T148 LE H – come with a redesigned interior with more separation between kitchen and front lounge and a shoe locker under the L-shaped settee.

Many of the ranges now come with a new 63cm wide door complete with an integrated flyscreen, interior panelling, and double locking with the option of central locking linked up with the cab doors.

The Fiat- or Mercedes-based chic e-line and Iveco-based s-plus ranges and the two-berth liner for two range go one stage further with an optional Safetyluxe door. This includes extra-quiet electric self-closing, keyless access via an RFID chip, door opening support  and extra LED lighting to create a “coming and leaving home” function.

In all three ranges the showers have also been upgraded to include marble design walls.
