The organisers of Caravan Salon, Europe’s biggest motorhome fair, say the show will definitely go ahead this September now that federal and state governments have given approval for it to do so.

The exhibition, which takes place in Düsseldorf, has been moved back a week into September, by which time German lockdown rules should have been relaxed.

A conference of German federal and state governments has now agreed that trade exhibitions that follow their hygiene guidelines should be allowed to go ahead, so the exhibition will now run from 4 to 13 September.

Caravan Salon Stephan Koschke said, “With our measures, we can guarantee seamless contact tracking on the exhibition grounds and have developed a sustainable hygiene concept in close cooperation with the authorities.”

The Erwin Hymer Group has already said it will not be taking any of its brands to Caravan Salon or any other European show this autumn. Thetford and Lippert Components have followed suit. But Knaus Tabbert will be going.
