If you’re planning to tour to the Isle of Wight next year, there’s great news from ferry company Red Funnel, which is currently offering reduced-rate short breaks for motorhome owners. A five-night trip for up to four people, including a electric hook-up pitch on a choice of four campsites, costs from just £109.
Vehicle travel is on the Red Funnel crossing from Southampton to East Cowes, and you can take your dog along for no extra cost. What’s more, you’ll also receive a 10 per cent voucher to spend at Southampton’s Towsure shop. Campsites available include Appuldurcombe Gardens, Orchards Holiday Park, Waverley Park or Whitefield Forest Touring Park.
The £109 price applies to selected crossings between January 2 and April 8, 2011, and October 1, 2011 – January 12, 2012. Note that there is an additional surcharge of £8 for motorhomes over 2.7m high, and a surcharge of £10 for each metre that your vehicle exceeds six metres in length.
