FIRST FOUNDED AS a single dealership near Southampton in 1973, Marquis Leisure has grown to become Britain’s biggest motorhome dealership network, with a total of 13 branches across England.

Most recent acquisitions include new outlets in Surrey, and Exeter, Devon. These have been added to the firm’s existing network, which includes sites in Berkshire, Plymouth, Dorset, Durham, Gloucestershire, Lancashire, South Yorkshire, Suffolk and Sussex, as well as the original base in Hampshire.

The company is now fully owned by the Trigano Group. This means it has exclusive distribution of fellow Trigano subsidiaries Benimar and Mobilvetta, as well as a long-standing relationship with Auto-Sleepers. But those aren’t the only brands it sells. Head to a Marquis dealership and you can also see the latest Auto-Trail models, as well as Adria at its Surrey and Durham branches. The company is also known for its long-running Majestic special edition line-up.

These are based on Elddis’s three ranges, but all come packed with extras that are often exclusive to Marquis.

All Marquis branches come with their own workshops, where you can book your ‘van in for base vehicle and habitation servicing. Such a substantial network also obviously has a wide choice of used models for sale, too, and there is always a huge choice of special offers, which you can also browse on the company’s website. But now lockdown is over, it is certainly worth visiting your nearest Marquis dealership in person. With stock supply being slightly less this season, as the largest player in the industry Marquis has a large order book with plenty of vehicles coming in. It’s worth speaking to its sales team to secure your new motorhome to avoid disappointment. The company can also supply a huge range of parts and accessories through its service centres. Five of its branches also stock caravans.
