If you're in the market for a bike carrier to fit to your campervan or motorhome, read our review of the Mont Blanc EasyGrip V2

Overview

Some people hate fiddling with fabric straps when attaching racks to their vehicles, but strap-free attachments tend to be more expensive. Mont Blanc’s EasyGrip V2 attempts to provide a strapless option at a lower price, by using flexible metal bands to hang the rack from the top of the tailgate. Unfortunately, in practice it’s very difficult to get these bands to fit properly to the ’van – partly because they aren’t supple enough, and partly because the hooks at the ends are too shallow to catch easily on the inner edge of the tailgate. That weakness, together with the significant assembly required and some rather confusing instructions, cause the EasyGrip to fall behind in the final reckoning.
