French brand Pilote is well known in the UK for its tempting combination of style and good value. As we move into 2021, Pilote has made its line-up more exciting than ever, with the introduction of some UK-only models, a new compact coachbuilt, and a special specification on some Le Voyageur models to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary.

Evidence for the UK

Pilote has been busy identifying its most popular models in the UK for this new range, which offers a level of specification specially designed for the British buyer.

Models that receive the new Evidence branding are the P650C, the P626D, the P696D, the P740FC and the G740FC.

Each features some very special kit, including a luxury internal pack with radio controls on the steering wheel and an aluminium dash kit; a chassis pack with cruise control and double airbags; a Comfort pack with cab blinds and an electric step; and an Energy Pack with a solar panel and large, 95Ah battery.

Truma 6EH heating, an oven, automatic transmission and 16-inch alloy wheels are also included, and much more besides – every Evidence model feels like a true home from home.

What’s more, all have four belted seats, and all have a driving-licence friendly MTPLM of just 3500kg.

Meet the impressive P626D

Among the five models to receive the new Evidence specification is one brand new motorhome, the Pilote P626D.

This compact model is shorter in length than a long-wheelbase, 6.3m panel van, meaning that it’s really easy to park when you’re out on the road, but also retains the benefits of a coachbuilt body, such as better insulation.

An electric drop-down bed over the extra-large lounge – which can seat up to six people – increases the feeling of comfort inside, and there’s plenty of space thanks to the swing-wall washroom, which converts into a separate shower.

There are even four belted seats, so you can take friends and family on tour with you, and a CCS chassis offers a better driving experience when you’re out on the road.

A full garage across the rear is perfect for storing all of your outdoor kit, too.

Other new Pilote models you can look forward to are the G690D, the P696D, the P720 FGJ, and the P726FGJ.
