We’ve mentioned a few unlikely looking motorhomes over the last few months and now here’s one that takes the term a bit literally.
Discovered in a 1930 edition of the US magazine Modern Mechanix, this unusual contraption was the work of Charles Miller in Portland, Oregon. As you can see, it’s essentially a wooden tiny bungalow built on the back of a car and came complete with a tiny strip of lawn outside the front porch.
The piece reckons Miller covered 200,000 miles in the vehicle, but there’s no other information available about the unusual design, or what eventually became of it.
